It’s tax season right now in the States. Some people will get a large refund back, some will get a small refund back, and others won’t get anything at all.
But for those who will (or hope to) get a refund back, do you plan to buy any model kits and/or supplies with your refunds?
My wish list right now, but may change later:
More photoetch for a carrier I am working on right now.
More aircraft and flight deck vehicles for same carrier.
Modelcollect 1/48 scale A-12A Avenger
Need to buy a few cans of Vallejo and/or Tamiya spray paint.
1/60 scale Perfect Grade RX-0 Unicorn Gundam
Heh heh, if I break even I’ll be happy! I have never really looked forward to using any tax refund I get. I am a naughty person who impulsively buys stuff, so I don’t have a wish list of kits to buy if I get lucky.
I’m more likely to spend a tax refund on home repairs.
Not getting a refund but I am getting a bonus at work and that should help out with the needed home improvement project that’s currently going on and…some scale model items as well.
Sounds like you’ve got quite the list goin there WR.
@mustang1989
Would that be this home remodeling project?
I can already tell that we’re going to get along just fine.
Man that’s GREAT!!!
Probably going to have to pay like last year…
Man that ain’t NO good.
Hmmm…. Where is the storage area?
No,its not like i wait for the refund as a time to buy stuff, when I see something i want i get it,I seldom buy more then one kit at a time,so its not like I need to waIt for cash from a refund.
No new purchases in my future due to being retired and on a tight budget. Besides with the economy going the way that it is, I need to cut back on my "extra curriculars"and build what I have in the stash already.
Never mind the model stuff. I just had to go out yesterday and drop $200+ on a new kitchen faucet. I’m getting too old for crawling under the kitchen sink. But its done wifey is happy.
I feel ya TJ I agree about being to old to crawl around a kitchen cabinet
Tempest Johnny, I feel the pain. I went shopping yesterday with my sister to buy a new kitchen faucet and a GFCI outlet for her condo. The darn cabinet was narrow and had a disposal in the middle. And her old faucet had integral flex hose connections, but I was expecting the flex hoses to be separate. So after pulling the old faucet out I had to make another trip to the hardware store for some flex hoses. The deck clamp for the faucet had a hole that was too small to allow the flex hoses to be attached first, so I had to connect them afterwards, from under the sink. I made a bad connection and got sprayed with water, all the while my sister’s cats kept smelling my feet and getting in the way. All that fun took me an hour.
At least the outlet took less than 15 minutes to change.
Neal, I’ll do electrical anytime compared to plumbing. I rewired my first house completely.
