I used to hate dusting, something always managed to break off.Cabinets were a great investment.
I have a battery powered air compressor that was my first airbrush. I’ve been thinking about putting a tip on it for blowing air to use for dusting my models.
I’ve used a soft make-up brush that I got from the Dollar store. I’ve also used the Swifter sheets for large model areas like ships’ hulls or aircraft wings. finally, as a last resort I’ve used the air shot from my airbrush, making sure that it has been cleaned thoroughly.
I too have been using a soft makeup brush but recently acquired this Tamiya dusting brush using my forum rewards. It’s extremely soft.

Interesting, Tamiya dusting brush. Thanks for the info
Wow! That is impressive.
WOW Mainly Moose! That’s a lot of kits for having to start over. That all look fantastic.
Impressive collection!
Wow… I thought I was something when I upgraded to Electronic Battleship. This takes the cake. ![]()
jrford, that is an awesome “fleet” of warships. Do you tend to favor the modern stuff more than WWII or earlier? Have you ever mounted/displayed any of your ship models in a sea base?
Thank you! I like any ship models, any time period. The only exception is the age of sail, one look at the rigging and no thank you. I also have a large selection of WWII ships, I think I’ve build most 1/350 models that are available, couple of repeats as well. I’m running out of thing to build ![]()
Never did a sea base display, they all sit on the shelves.
jrford, are you going to venture into the 1/200 scale of ships that are becoming so popular?
I did build the new Fletcher 1/200 as it had a good price point. But some of those 1/200 are a little pricey for me.
