Now if I could get motivated myself to start some of my builds.
I know what you mean about motivation! Luckily, things are progressing well this time. ![]()
The build of the Dornier Do-17Z is coming along. I have the fuselage together and the wings and tail-plane on. I’m currently working on seats and pilots.
I’ve got to decide whether to build her wheels up, or down. Would look good with her flying over the English countryside, as here:

I would really love to get in on this build if I may. Looking to build the Arma Hobby Hurricane Mk.1 and if possible an Eduard Bf-110C. Not overly sure about the 110, but definently the Hurricane.
Thanks for joining got you down.
I have a few I could build in here, but need to get a few things out of the way first.
Seeing all this building activity has me itching to get started. While my custom built work bench features plenty of space, it’s not big enough to accommodate my current 1/24th Hellcat along with a 1/32nd Ju88. I’ll just have to get the Hellcat done first.
I have to change my entry from the Arma Hobby kit to the 1:48 scale Airfix kit. Arma kit is a Mk.II, not a Mk.I. Still gonna try for the 1:48 Eduard 110 though afterwards.
Figured out what I am most likely going to build, the Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk.1
Thought I might mention this site, “Royal Air Force Commands” at
https://www.rafcommands.com/
I ran across this while researching a Hurricane Mk. IIC recently. It allows you to look up any RAF aircraft to find its history, pilot and perhaps a picture, as long as you have the serial number. So, I typed it in and there it was.
No picture, which was what I was after, but it gave a history of its pilots and eventual fate.
If you have the serial number of your aircraft, you might give the site a look-see and find something about your subject.

I will be doing airfix 1/48 hurricane please, thanks.
That’s a really nice resource, thank you for posting that
@fjs3, @Ranger_Chris61, @waikong got you all updated.
@GAF That looks like a great resource. I’m planning some RAF builds after this Battle of Britain group build, so I’m sure I’ll be going down a rabbit hole on that site.
Got a bit of paint into the cockpit. Depending on various sources it should be RLM 60 or RLM 02. I went with RLM “02.60”(my own fusion of greys with some green).
You might also notice I’ve cut out the solid molded landing light in the port wing, to be replaced later with some clear plastic of some type or another.
She looks good! I think RLM 02 is correct, which is what I am using on my Dornier.
@Aggieman @Ranger_Chris61 > Thanks about the RAF site. I can see myself spending hours there. ![]()

The Dornier is masked off and ready for primer. After which I have to check the seams on the top. Luckily, it’s a simple build.
We’ll see what tomorrow brings, as it’s supposed to be storming. Oh, well.

Far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance,
To a land that’s free.”

I ordered a 3-D instrument panel and a canopy mask for the Spit. I also splurged on a mask set, fresh decals, and some MG-15 guns for the Heinkel since I wanted to “save” on postage.
My justification is that I’ll need a mask set anyway when I do the Heinkel, I have no idea if the 30 years old decals are still good (and I found an aftermarket set that had the plane I was looking for), and the Monogram kit has only 3 guns like an H1 variant. Yes, that’s the story, yes…
Hello, i have an Eduard Bf-110C in my stash. I believe it is one of the profipacks with colored photoetch and canopy masks. Would this qualify for the group build? If so, may i join in?
Sure! What scale is the kit?
It is 1/48th scale. I have had it for a little while, looks to be a pretty nice kit. Hopefully having it out in my garage did not to much damage to it.
