Battle of Britain 85th anniversary 2025-2026

With this year marking the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain I figured now would be a good time for a group build.

Any subject is welcome as long as it was used in the Battle of Britain.

Dates are now until October 31st 2026

Started projects are okay as long as they are 20% complete.

Digging a little deeper into my stash, I found an old Monogram 1/72 Dornier Do-17Z and an MPC 1/72 Stuka JU-87B. Not the greatest of models, but…eh.
Put me down for the Dornier, and I’ll do the Stuka if I have the time.

Got you updated.

Ordered my build this afternoon should be here Sunday. Debating on going for aftermarket decals since Tamiya decals are usually on the thick side.

Did someone ( @GAF ) say MPC Stuka?

I’ve never done a group build before. I’m in….it even says it’s a Golden Opportunity (to finish a model) kit.

Heaven knows how long this has been in that pile….

I passed on the MPC Stuka because it has some problems. I salute you for tackling it!

I think I’ll wait until the local model show in two weeks. Maybe I can find a better one there.

Now someone needs to build an He-111!

Haven’t done an aircraft in a while…but I think I’ll try my hand at the Airfix Blenheim.

Good choice! I was looking at that earlier. I or IV type?

I have a 1/48 He-111, but it’s a later version. But I do have an Bf-110!

Put my down as tentatively interested. Not sure what I will be building, have a couple options, unfortunately I would not be able to start until later this year as I am certain the box they are in is on the other side of the country.

Got both of you down.

Put me down for 2 builds:

Revell’s 1/32 Ju88A-1 with extras (Quinta Studios 3D decals, Quickboost exhaust stacks, Eduard MG.15 guns, Montex Mask for clear parts)

Airfix’s 1/48 Boulton Paul Defiant Mk. I OOB (although will seek out a canopy mask and perhaps some after-market Browning guns)
