♠ Allied Aces GB (WW1 -WW2) April 2006 Start - Sept 2006 Finish

Looking forward to seeing some pics of that Spitfire Bear, I must admit I’ve got a bit of a thing for Spits

Now for a question, how come Mrs Bear goes out and does the shopping but doesn’t leave you with a list of mind numbing household jobs that’s longer than your arm, because that’s sure what happens in my house. My only chance to model is after the entire tribe has gone to bed. [:(]

Cheers

Darren I practice Mrs Bear management[:D] during the week I did a bunch her jobs (She to has a looong list) and left the outdors stuff for the weekend where lo and behold the weather folks were right for a change and it rained. Since I was such a good Bear[;)] she left me to my styrene and there was much rejoycing.

Cheers

Bear

Darren, Im in the same boat as you. My bench time is geting shorter and shorter all the time. In the last month I bet I have got only three hours of build time in[xx(]

Thad

Now that the Dora’s are off the bench I can start this one! I’ll have to see if I can fit some painting in this week. If I can get the pit together next week I’ll be able to show you something![:P]

I’ve slowed down as well-- haven’t even started Thatch’s Wildcat yet! I am soon to be finishing my Atlantic Build SBD and Carrier GB Hellcat-- and in the midst of all this, we spent the weekend painting the new house-- lots to be done before we move in in May-- so I may wait until then to start this one…

I was looking over my Trumpeter 1/32 P-40B (Hawk IIA) and man, it’s a really nice kit! Has some photo etch, lots of detail, and rivets, rivets, rivets! The engine is pretty much a kit in itself! I hope to begin construction in another week or so, just as soon as I can wrap up 2 other projects I’m working on at the moment.

Well i guess you could say that i’ve made a start, all i’ve done is to study and then study the instuctions some more, excellent details in this eduard Sopwith Triplane and a bucketload of PE witch makes planning the build timeconsuming, but for now i may just make a start on the engine witch has a staggering amount of parts for such a small piece…

This time thing is a pandemic! I have only opened the box on my Mustang. Most of my time has been working with my son on his submission. That has truly been fun. He has really done better than 95% on his own. We hope to have it finished before Sunday evening…will take a break for soccer and a trip to the Air/Space Center at Dulles tomorrow…time to load up on detail photos!

Speaking of which if anyone is looking for something specific let me know, the collection at Udvar Hazy is fantastic!

Hey guys!

Dad and I went to work after we got home from the Air & Space Museum.

We used British Green and British Medium Sea Grey. The hardest part was masking the stripes. We have al ot of touch up to do yet. We have to paint the propellor blades yet. It is getting close to my favorite part. Putting on the decals.

Trmn8tor-looks great! Keep up the good work.

Lookin Grrrrrrrrrreat [:I][oops] wrong tiger LOL. I can’t wait to see the finished product[^][tup][tup]

Looking great Terminator. Should be a winner.

Regards, Rick

Waaahhh! I hate internet blockers! Sorry termin8tor if don’t comment. The company I work for has blocked a bunch of sites (including photobucket) and I can’t see your pic. I’ll try to get on at home later and check it out.

That goes for everyone else. Please forgive me if I do not comment on your builds. I am not being rude or pretentious. I just can’t view the pics until I get home and I usually don’t go on the internet at home much. When I get home after working on a computer 8+ hours a day, one of the last things I want to be doing is hopping on the computer for another couple hours.

That’s a bummer Jay.

Regards, Rick

Looking good. Hope you don’t mind my advice, but it looks like your mask is just a dust mask? If so, you really need a respirator type mask to block the harmful fumes, a dust mask will not block those.

Waikong…true it does look like that but it has multiple lawyers in it with activated charcol (I think) layers. They are sold by Lowes and are more or less a one shot deal.

Hey, thanks for the info. Thats really useful, 'cause my particle mask doesn’t fit my kids, and I’m always concerned what to put on them if they wanted to learn to use the airbrush. Next time I’m in Lowes, I’ll check it out.

Sure no worries…i will check to see if I still have the package so you have the name…

I still have my respirator from when I was working at a gas plant in the paint shop painting gas cylinders.they still give me trade in’s on my nitrogen cylinder that I use for airbrushing and filling my paintball tank I just wish i could afford the cartridges for the thing there a tad expensive.I guess due to it being an industrial rig

JoeRugby, So I checked out your progress pics from, home, looking great Termn8tor, keep up the good work!
