FSM is on the road again this week heading to WonderFest 2025 in Louisville, KY. If you’re in the areas, I hope you’re able to stop by. And if you have models on the tables, remember to check them often because one of them might have been tagged for a photo with FSM. Fill out the form and bring it over!
Make sure you pronounce Louisville correctly while you’re there. That I is almost as silent as the s that follows it and sounds more like a u, definitely NOT an e.
Having lived here most of my life, it never ceases to amaze me how many different ways people pronounce it.
And yet you can figure easily tell who us visitors are just by how we say Louisville.
BaHAHAHAHA! Yeah, that ain’t gonna happen. I’m from Fairbanks, AK. When I do a Southern accent, I sound like Foghorn Leghorn, because that’s who taught me my Southern accent. Which I tried once many years ago while visiting rural Georgia. A friend, who was native to Georgia, pulled me aside by the elbow and told me I was going to get us killed. Better to be a Yank and own it.
Sometimes I’ll mess with people that know I’m from here. I’ll over pronounce the LOUIS then add the ville. I’m looking forward to attending this year. This will be my first WonderFest.
Great photos and awesome model subjects! Keep 'em coming! I really wish I was there. But it’s too far to travel.
Thanks for the awesome photos! This show is definitely on my “bucket list” to attend some day.
Tomorrow is goingt to be crazye. By the time they closed the room for the night, pre-reg was somewhere close to 1K. And the work is amazing!
Wow! Some amazing works there! And that’s just the early bird entries!? OMG! Love seeing so many figures!
Cheers,
Mark
That’s an incredible ‘sneak peek’! Thank you
Hehehe, The famous diorama that was rumored to have been removed from the KY State fair last year.
Thanks Tim for the great sneak preview! There are some serious models on show.
Wow, that looks crazy busy. I’m just guessing it’s gonna get a lot tighter in there as the time goes by. (for both the models and the attendees) thanks for taking the time to post these.
