@George_Seletas Great to see you here! That whole special display was a treat.
Thanks to everyone who provided photos from this awesome show. I definitely want to get to this show someday.
How does the show work? I see there is a vendor application, but do modelers have to apply and pay a fee to exhibit?
Yes, there’s an entry fee for the model contest. You pay for the first two and the next 8 are FREE! This year they opened up the contest room Friday afternoon for entries vs. Saturday morning. This made for a much more relaxed experience and entering my 8 kits was a breeze.
Amazing Model Contest – WonderFest USA
FYI - WonderFest uses ‘Open Judging’ so there can be multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze awards per category.

We’re going to start working on another display for WF26.
Thanks for the info. Does that mean every model in the room has entered the contest? Or do some people bring in models to just show off rather than compete?
There are separate display tables for judges since they can’t compete and this year there was a separate room for Star Wars models ‘For Display Only’ (FDO).

Just for a bit of trivia, when in Louisville TN, near Maryville and Alcoa, you do pronounce the ‘s’

I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to attend two IPMS Nationals in my life and so it’s time to focus on attending an AMPS National and Wonderfest. I am already making plans to trek over to Minnesota this Fall for Nordic-Con. Little did my wife know that when we both retired and she wanted to make a list of places to travel to, my list would consist of military museums & historical sites and model contests.
