OMG!!! all the links are gone! no!!! [censored][tdn]
Try the link at the beginning of the very first post. I stopped making posts here on the forum a long time ago, switching to a dedicated webpage with an archive page. Also, I haven’t done the POTD at all for quite some time… other things going on. Matter of fact, this is my first visit to this forum in many months…

Blackwolf,

I am not against you. I donot want the line on my site offend you.

Hi:
Can’t access anything other than the black Me that is at the ‘current’ POTD …
What am I doing wrong ?? …
Thanks,
pepper
I very much enjoyed your picture of the day site. I actually picked up some details on an 0-47. I was haveing trouble getting good photos and yours was one of the best. I am building the nasty Merlin 1/72 blob of an airplane. Thanks, Joel
To all those who’ve made comments to which I haven’t replied… thanks, and I’m glad you’re able to take something out of what I share here…
Pepper, I dunno if you’re still around but click on the link below the photo to see the archive.
Here’s a few shots of some Ju 87As…

Here’s a groovy shot of one of the most recent P-40 restorations to take to the skies.
EDIT: I’ve changed the image to a smaller file size, less than 100K…

You can see more shots of this Hawk on my P-40 website…

That last photo obviously shows a restored P-40 in 11th FS markings, here’s the real deal…

Here’s a P-40E which was flown by the late, great Bob Scott while he was in command of the 23rd FG…

The info for this photo states that it was taken on September 15th, 1942. If that’s the case, then this ship is not ‘Old Exterminator’, which was finally put out to pasture after being badly damaged on September 2nd, 1942.

This Kittyhawk of 94 Squadron RAF has seen better days. She was photographed by an unknown member of the Afrikakorps…

Here’s another Aleutian Tiger…
This 11th FS P-40E was named ‘Flossie’ and is seen here with future Hollywood mogul Daryl Zanuck (center), director John Huston (left) and a third fella who I cannot identify.

If a genuine miracle ocurred and I were to build a YF-16, I’d build 568 in this scheme…

Great pics, Steve-O!
Do you happen to know what that large kite-like object is on the port wing of the F-4 in the last picture?
Hey Justen,
That’s a target dart used for gunnery practice. It’s attached to a cable that extends maybe between 1500 to 2000 feet behind the tug, perhaps more or less… I dunno exactly how long they might be. Anyhoo, once the dart is deployed, guys in real fast planes with guns come along and blow hell outta the thing… or at least that’s the idea… LOL
Fade to Black…
That makes sense. Man, I don’t think I’d like to be the tug pilot. With my luck I’d get the one trainee that has poor depth perception and issues with his mom.

Welcome back, Steve, and thanks for the great photos! I, for one, truly appreciate your time and willingness to share with us all! [#toast]
