What did you get for your birthday this year

Wife bought me these from Top Shelf Models in Owasso , Oklahoma yesterday for my birthday this week end.

Very nice. I’m interested to see how that Marauder turns out. ICM kits can be kind of hit or miss. Hoping it’s one of their hits.

Reviews on YouTube were very promising, well , compared to the old monogram kit.

I haven’t opened it up but I did open the magic factory F4U-1A….. all I can say is , wow!

I got the 5003 kit and now I wish I had got the 5001 kit 2 n 1.
The details in this 1/48 kit is just amazing! Now I have to get a Tamiya kit to compare it to but at the moment this magic factory Corsair is tops.

I’ll do a unboxing of the B-26 and get back to you.

I got a $100 CDN gift card for Sunward Hobbies in Canada.

Cheers,
Mark

My wife had these prints framed. The P-40 came in Eduard’s new dual combo boxing, while I got the B-17 from Squadron after having bought that Eduard kit from them.

Wow, that C-130 is on my wishlist and she just picked it off the shelf?

Good wife!

For my birthday this year, my wife presented me with a St. Louis Cardinals ball cap. Then she took me out for a steak dinner! I felt like Jimmy Stewart in “Strategic Air Command.”

That’s great fotofrank! I hope that either a B-36 or a B-47 kit came with the hat.

I got a sweater. It was nice though.

I have no need to receive model kits for any occasion. I have too many already.

Afraid not, Tom, just the cap. Right now my stash is too big and my display space is too small. Still, I’ll be buying kits in October when I go to Modelpalooza in Orlando.

BTW: I grew up listening to Harry Caray, Jack Buck and Joe Garagiola broadcast the St. Louis Cardinals.

Me too, and yet, today I found and purchased that C-130, just because the OP had one!

I showed my wife those prints from the kits and she suggested the same.

I looked at it last night. The molding is very crisp with lotz of details and good shape. It is like that magic factory F4u-1a. Very tedious and detailed , the engines and nacelles are mini models.

Looks like it should build well.

My birthday was last Friday and my wife “got” me the 1/96 Revell USS Kearsarge kit! Only the 1/96 Thermopylae left on my “Most Wanted List”

I got an 15lb anvil.

Great for many things, like anger management!

And hunting roadrunners! Beep-beep!

Mine was back in November and my wife got me this for being able to indulge in one of my other hobbies…

This is the best part of having my B-Day in July !
I don’t have to share it with Christmas and I grew up as an only child so I didn’t have to share birthdays or Christmas either way.

I can’t wait for sept and November , then December.
