Yep, I wanted to check it out. It is huge! Going to look great with my B-1B and B-58, once I get around to building them!
Not sure how I’m going to display them though.

If shelf space is at a premium and your ceiling hanging space is all but used up you can hang them by the nose or tail on the wall.
Or
Donate some of your older builds to the VA or local air museum or sell / give them away and keep more recent builds.
What was the kit like? Details man, details…..
Actually, if you are into tanks, I have this web recommended to you: www.tank3dmodels.com
My wife got me the AMT 1950 Chevy pickup ( since I was born in 1950) and 57 Chevy hardtop for my B-Day back in April. I since added to the stash the 51 Chevy fleetline and hardtop. Also a 58 Impala.. I may live long enough to finish them all !! I mean, it’s not as though I don’t already have multi kits in various stages of completion as it is. Not to mention others waiting. Non the less, it’s great she feeds my passion and is very astute to my model desires.
Seemed really good, there are going to be some inevitable fit issues with that huge tube of a body being broken into 4 parts but, nothing a little (or a lot) of puddy and sanding won’t fix.
The canopy is a little thick which is a bummer and masking it will be a real pain (maybe someone makes a third party mask?).
The rest, for an old mold look really cool. I’m going to spring for some new wheels/tires as the ones that are included are not flattened and I don’t love just sanding them down.
Overall, I’m thrilled about it though.
oldermodelguy, she sounds like a wonderful woman and definitely a “Keeper!”
We live in New Jersey, though not in the Pine Barrens, and my wife knows I love Weird New Jersey. We met the author at a cryptozoology and paranormal conference.
Yes, plus we’re of the same spiritual mind set, which is what started the connection in the first place. Thanks for your reply !
Caught up on this thread. A few months back:

I got a new automatic tape dispenser and it’s awesome, I use a lot of tape.
What tape dispenser?
See, this is the kind of gift I love hearing about. A long time ago, I once bought my wife a vacuum cleaner for her birthday and where every single one of my friends said I was going to be dismembered, she loved it! (It was a handheld one for the stairs.) I keep telling people, the best present is something somebody really wants but doesn’t know it yet…
I’m going to take a solid pass on that. Even if my wife loved it, I’d never live it down from the rest of the family. If I’m buying a tool for household chores, it’s not a present. I’m glad you survived and didn’t get eviscerated.![]()
Good and valid point! The gifting was well before we had kids, and I think these days I would choose not to get her the vacuum for a similar reason. BUT: She still tells the story to people and still tells them how happy she was!
You obviously knew her well! Good on you!
Yeah, I know her well, that wouldn’t work in my house. If my wife bought me a lawn mower for my birthday…
Thank you, that thing is really interesting. Does is work with really narrow tape like we use for canopy masks?
What’s really funny is that I told my wife about this post and she reminded me that she asked for a new toilet seat for Christmas last year. I have the most amazing yet practical wife…
I have 1/2" tape in it now not sure how narrow it will take.
