On my M-10 Booker I handpainted all the details on the lower hull.
I also planted the road wheel garden in preparation for painting
Tracks are also ready for painting

I finally got my additional paint racks and drawer units assembled and installed! No pic just yet, I need to reorganize. But I finally have rack space on the wall for all of my paints and some other stuff that fits into small jars, and I’ve got additional drawers to hold brushes, lead foil, and anything else fun to keep at the work bench.
I’ve also ordered most of the parts I need to vent my spray booth outside (ducting, clamps, etc.) I’ve decided I’m going to cut a piece of 1/4" clear acrylic that fits into the window and mount a dryer vent in that. The booth fans will be connected with 4" dust control ducting and fittings. If I get this done right, I will have a way to spray the solvent-based paints AND keep the spiders out of my work area!

I did some detail painting and some weathering on my 1/60 Lindberg shrimp fishing boat.
I don’t have pics, so sorry. But currently scratch building some 1/350 scale Mk.41 VLS (Vertical Launch Missile) systems for a future carrier project.
Managed to get a bit of time today. Got some paint on the interior of the Mustang and added some weld lines on the Kenworth fuel tanks.
Finally got the workbench reorganized! Waiting for acrylic for the window to do the spray booth ducting, so now a little more time on my Ki-61.
Looks like a great space but waaay to neat, just kidding, great space.
I did an oil wash on the Lindberg shrimp boat and some detail painting. Assembly is just about done.
I’m in the process of reorganizing and cleaning things up also. I hung up 5 of the 6 nail polish racks I ordered. I think I might be ordering some more.
Those nail polish shelves work great for organizing your hobby paints. It’d be so nice to be able to see the names on the bottles instead of hunting for them in a drawer like I do.
I spent much of Friday and Saturday updating my stash database and adding all the paint colors that I don’t have onto a shopping list. I finally have a good list.
Started assembling one of my soviet pilot models (1/48 scale
), and I made the mistake of painting the legs and then gluing them - leading to a bit of a gluey mess that ruined my paintjob. Going to have to cut away the glue and repaint ![]()
After the oil wash dried I applied a dot filter for those rusty, grimy streaks on my Lindberg shrimp fishing boat.
Those shelves look just the right size, @68GT.
I had two different sizes mounted for a while, one of which was just a little too shallow (front-to-back) to hold most of what I wanted to store up there. It worked with Vallejo-style paints, but I moved away from those after some bad experiences and then found the shelves to be difficult to store anything larger than a 10mL Tamiya jar, and I had way more of those than the 3 shelves would hold (they were 12" wide). The second size I had was exactly the right depth to store Tamiya rattle cans, which made it pretty deep for jar paints, and again - 12" wide - I couldn’t get much into them! Ultimately, I got the paint racks instead and then have been stacking the bigger stuff on top of the racks and some on the drawers, but I’m getting ready to re-install the 2 of the larger shelves to help pull stuff off the bench top.
I guess I’m saying that (a) looks really good, and (b) good for you for finding a size that works for you!
Thanks, these are 24” long but I was thinking of the 30”. The inside measurement is 1.7” according to the Amazon page. Once I’m done rearranging things I might get some more. They are available in 15”, 24” and 30”.
Been working on organizing the closet that holds my stash. Found a set of track links for the Panzer III I didn’t know I had, so that can replace my broken ones on a completed build. Also found PE for the Tamiya Jagdpanther.
I installed the deck, cabin and mast on the Lindberg shrimp fishing boat that I’m building.
Hello All! Member me-Yup ! It’s the old Tanker builder. Haven’t sunk yet. Doing another commission. I know, I said I wouldn’t do anymore, but it’s for a very special friend. Those of you who have been to Norfolk and the Wisconsin Museum have seen my work and his. Yes the 17’ long Wisconsin model! He did the hull and main deck.I did the rest. Look at the builders tag and you will see “Gunny”-That’s me.he has never called me anything else. But,just so you know ,I will drop by once in a while.Fair Winds and Following Seas!!
@Tanker-Builder !! Great to see you back. Any way for those of us not in Norfolk to see that build? ![]()
