Vietnam Air War GB - Extended!

I think I will then, i never really cared for the polished up new ‘‘outta the box’’ look.

There you go … [H]

This is going to be a great GB, I can feel it!

Only if you have an airbrush. All the tips about Sharpies and hand painted lines lead to trouble.

It can be very effective though.

Also try post shading with a lighter color.

Yep airbrush is ready to go!

Ok so I missed a gap… And another gap was made [:D]… Yes it’s time for the stabs. Awww man it’s… uhm working??? Well be back when you are dry [8-|]

Its off to a good start! Just curious, why highlighted panel lines?

Well if you have the May 2011 Issue you will see there is a tomcat painted to be ‘‘3-D’’ and that was one of the things they did. It’s really an experiment for me though [:P]

Ok so flaps down… Gap fillin time! Be right back!

Taking shape nice and quick tce [Y]

Pilot…were you able to save the details along the spine of the fuse? That is what has me worried…

Re preshading: I would say give it a go if you have an airbrush that will give you the thin lines you need. I can attest that and painting them is a problem. I did that on my B17 and it just doesn’t work. Paint goes on too thick. Ever since i discovered pre shading I’ve been much happier with my finishes. You just have to lay your top coat over it nice and thin and in layers so you just don’t obliterate it.

And here we go with more horizontal stab MAYHEM! (gap filling is done) So for now I’m masking the canopy[H]

Yep, I’m game.1/48 AD6 Skyraider VNAF.

Welcome aboard mikey! Ok so I’m done with masking the canopy/ wheels…

Wowers Pilot, you are going for the gold…you must have a lot of bench time…I tell you one thing, I’ve ben going non-stop since the lady got home with my kit. Got some pictures to post, but it may not be until tomorrow…too much work to do!

I hear ya proffessor she’s a nice kit! Just a few fillin’ to do… And the… the… THE horizontal stabs.!!! AHHHHHH!!! I got mine under controll now I fixed it up and i should be pre-shading by tommorow! (I’m in Ohio USA EST.)

Well the detail was mostly there (it can be fixed by using super glue and a toothpick) and .she filled in nice, but I’m worried about the anttena thingy that goes on the top because of the stripe decals! AHH. I think I will put it on over the decals though…[:|]

I know I just thought it would look alright idk why lol, I have sat in that cockpit (simulation/movie set exact replica of the real F-4C) many times at the USAF Museum (Dayton, Ohio).

How do you load all the GB badges? I could not even use 3?

Not sure I have the same prob…
