This might be fun: The best movie/TV show aircraft!!!

Does anyone know from Rambo II what was that russian helicopter he blew up in the jungle? It resembled a Hind A i think, but i doubt they had a real one…Help??

Cheers

Too bad that show was only on for a season or maybe two I enjoyed it. Now, does anyone remember the female co-star of that show?

My number one choice has to be the B-17s from 12 Oclock High. One of the best movies I’ve seen.

Derwin

For me it would be the comabat assault(UH-1’s and OH-6’s)from “Apocalypse Now” and the UH-1’s in “platoon” and “We Were Soliders”.
Think the “Hind’s” from Rambo were converted SH-3’s

Favorite: F-14 Tomcat – Top Gun.

Others:
F-16 Falcon – Iron Eagle.
VF1 Super Valkyrie and VF11 Thunderbolt – Macross.

About a flight instructor that plays the bandit against F-16s with a mirage III. Then one day he goes nuts and… Well, it’s a B-movie, but I enjoyed it.

U think they have a foto of the Mirage III online somewhere? Its alot easier than seeing a crappy movie…it still hurts after seeing Iron Eagle III

I will go as follows,
B-17’s in Memphis Belle (I know the movie sucked, but I love the Forts)
The Flying Sub from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
Almost any of the aircraft in Sky Captain and the World of tomorrow.
Steve

Thunderbird 2…FAB!!!

Anybody know what the amphibian was that they used in the opening sequence of Fantasy Island (“De plane, Boss, de plane”)? That was a cool aircarft, but I didn’t recognize it right away. Thought it might have been a Grumman…

I really dig the aircraft designs from the Macross movies. They are just realistic enough to look like real jet fighters. Very cool.

As far as spacecraft go, I think the Stafury from Babylon 5 is the best design out there. Very realistic, yet it looks mean as hell. And if you insist on aircraft, then the Thunderbolt design from B5 definitely qualifies.

They used a modified Puma to potrait an Hind in Rambo (and some other movies)

before i joined here in march i saw a thing on that chanel about the BLACKCAT SQUADGEN that had PBY catalinas, you can guess how i got my name on here. anyway about the squadgen they showed it in september of '04 and so i got a 1/72 pby-5 catalina and painted it black.
the moral of this to me is that certain thing can influence us(what i think anyway).

Twin Beech from It’s a Mad, Mad,Mad World

Ok, Mickey Rooney, Buddy (“What are you? The Hostess”) Hacket “flying” Jim Backus passed out from “Old Fashioneds” in the back, Paul Ford ("first you must make a long slow, turn to the North) in the control tower aling with Carl Reiner. That was just too funny. A true classic I never tire of watching.

Here a bit of fun for you.

The flying wing from Raider’s Of The Lost Ark! It’s a Slam Dunk!
McCaber
[^]

The Bell 47 in Skippy the Bush Kangaroo.
It was my introduction to helos.

Second choice, the LOACHs in Apocalypse Now.

Third choice, Blue Thunder.

(Do you detect a theme?

Grubbman.

There is a Japanese animation called ‘Area 88’. It’s about a group multi-national mercenaries pilots fighting a civil war in a fictiional nation in middle-east in 70’s. Lots of aircraft (F-100, F105, F8E, F-14. F-20!, A-10, BeA Lightning, Harrier, and MiG 17-21 etc). Lots of action. It’s cartoon but has a good story for mature viewers.
