This might be fun: The best movie/TV show aircraft!!!

The F-8 Photo Crusaders in 13 Days. That is One Cool Action Sequence!

“Were those 20mm or 40mm sparrows, sir?”[:D]

Professor Fate’s (Jack Lemmon) Airplane, flown by his assistant Max, in the movie “The Great Race” My favorite movie, so it has to be my favorite airplane

Does the Millenium Falcon really qualify? If so then that, otherwise, I thought Darth Vader’s TIE fighter was cooler than the X-Wings, personally. Of course, that is stuck in my head from the perspective of an 11 year old boy watching “Star Wars” (not titled “Episode IV” at that time) in a theater.

“Real” aircraft from movies would be the B-25s in “Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo,” the C-47s in “A Bridge Too Far,” and the F4U Corsairs in “Baa Baa Black Sheep.”

I like all of the Star Wars vehicles, but this topic specifies aircraft, not spacecraft, so …

the Firefox was really impressive, and so was the Blue Thunder, but I guess I would lean more toward the real aircraft such as the brief scene of a B-29 Superfort in Empire of the Sun, the P-51s from the same movie, A-26 and PBY from Always, among others. What about the P-40 from Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, pretty funny to see that.

Shame about using the P-40 in Sky Captain…there were so many better looking choices…

The sea Plane from the tv show the Golden Monkey the youngsters dont know it but us olders guys do that would be a cool model if i could find the a model kit of the plane and remember what kind of plane it was. old age setting in LOL

I agree, Cutter’s Goose from Tales Of The Golden Monkey is cool! I fly it in FS2004 all the time! [:D]

Thanks, John & Edward, and Phil in Oz clinched it, well done. Seems that there are maybe two other films with the same title, Sole Survivor, both also to do with aircraft.
I too remember that you think they’re all okay until they fade away. Shame we can’t get a copy, petition your local TV provider!
Here’s another, can anyone remember ‘The Starfighters’? starring such internationally well known actors as, Robert Dornan, Richard Jordahl & Shirley Olmsted. The original theatre foyer poster is featured in the October Aeroplane monthly. It shows an F104 from the aerial refuellers position of a KC whatever, but the picture on the poster is upside down! inverted refuelling? was the film as bad as the research?
Pete

How about the Turbo Porter from Air America. Loved seeing it land on the side of the mountain and land inside the C-123. Not the fanciest aircraft but pretty intresting.

i 100% agree with painklr top gun was and is still the best aircraft movie not to mention the f-14 is the most bad ****** jet in the buisiness and is hands down my fav.[8D]

No you’re not!!! “Fifi” the Confederate Air Force…I mean CommemorativeAir Force B-29 appeared briefly in “The Right Stuff.” She carried Chuck Yeager’s Bell X-1. Then she appeared in the movie “Fat Man and Little Boy.” Speaking of Yeager, how about his little flight in that special F-104? “Ridley, you got any Beeman’s?”

top gun sorry people

anything from the flintstones

How about Clutch Cargo’s Ballenca.

Blackcat

Other cool ones are:
The Mirage III on the B movie Flight of Black Angel
The Hind/Puma from Red Dawn
The He111 from battle of britain.
And a cool spacecraft is the one from aliens that carries the APC.
