The Rufe, the rufe, the rufe is on fire...

LOL…a different subject for me:

Starting on the assembly:

and some chrome-iness!

Looking good! Bonus points for the cool subject line! LOL

We don’t need no water let the [censored] burn, burn [censored] burn…

Great song.

I’ve always liked the Rufe, it’s an unusual plane.
Ever see the gun camera footage of one of these getting shot down?

Could someone pass the salt?[;)][:D] Good looking bird. I can’t wait to see what you come up with on this one!

Eddie

Nice! It’s about time to see a Rufe on here! Keep us posted

Hows she going together ?

Looks like a good start. Keep us posted.

Regards, Rick

She’s looking good, can’t wait to see more…

You have to remember to salt your japanese aircraft often, so they are more tasty:

…and then, once salted, you paint them purple!

What do use to keep the salt in place? I haven’t tried this method yet, but keen to give it a bash.

I always called it the Roofie Plane meself, but this is WAY original. Here, pass some pepper and meatballs. [:P]

I use a mixture of a fine spray of water, and heavy droplets applied by brush…let them air dry after a heavy salting and, viola !

LOL…“roofie”. I like it. Too bad they didn’t have any red planes in ww2!

2nd layer of salt applied during a two hour session of Charmed. (yeah, I know…but those chicks are HOT) and will be ready for another layer of paint tomorrow…

Looking good! I used about that much salt on my Dragonfire. I nearly cured in for the winter![(-D] I just had an idea that I think you could make come to life. With the way you’ve got the salt applied, you could do an underwater scene with a crash aircraft and the salt would be painted like coral. Just a thought.[:D]

Eddie

That is exactly what my wife thought I was doing…great minds think alike!

Last coat of paint and salt:

Removed the salt, now there is a loooooot of buffing ahead, but I am happy with how the layered colours look…many different shades:

Looking good

Bud

Hey, did anybody know the drummer from Def Lepord only had 1 arm and that is a good lookin’ plane!

This is a wild one.
