The Grey A-10 Color Scheme...

This should be the last question I ask for a while…

But I’m curious as to what the colors for it are? I can’t really tell from pictures of it, and seaching yeilded no results that were any good…

So any help here will be appreciated!

OK, I don’t knkow what I was thinking, or smoking for that matter. After some research, i retract my question from your post i responded to yesterday[:-^]. From all the pics i have seen, the paint scheme for the hog appears to be a solid light ghost grey or dark ghost grey. I guess maybe i was just thinking with my fingers[:I].

Happens lol…

But it does seem to kinda have a GG camo in some pics… But hm, might just paint it light or dark, or find good pics of a single hog in the scheme… Some day this thing will be more than just two wings and a fuel tank… lol (But you know, working on more then one model at a time usually isn’t a good idea… I need to learn that… )

AKUMA!
Take a gander at these. Just thought I’d give you some ideas.

THANKS!

Those should help alot

Akuma, the first link is the scheme we use currenly with a fwe minor changes. The dark ghost gray now stops at the leading edge and wing tip panels.

Hm, I was thinking of doing the scheme in the second pic… I think that one looks the best

Do they fly that scheme in Iraq? (either the first or second… )

The second scheme is an early scheme used in the late 70s early 80s.
The first one is the current one and is used on all A-10s today.

Ah…

I still REALLY like the second one though…

And it doesn’t hurt to have a lil fantasy “what-if” sorta thing I guess…

Akuma;
there is nothing holding you to the floor stating you have to paint it this way or be excomunicated from modeling, it’s here for your pleasure, and if you want to make things look the way you want to then just do it and tell the critics to buzz off & die, Dice has a great website to gain good info on the Hawgs and I’ve been to Iraq & Afghanistan with the Hawg’s so you have just about any question covered by Dice or myself about the Hawg’s and don’t be shy about asking as for the colors of the Dk & Lt Ghost Greys I’ve found that Testors Model Masters has the closest rendition of the correct colors and they come in either Enamel or Acrylic so which either one will suit your needs
Good Luck And Have Fun

Akuma, like 79Cuda said paint it the way you want… it’s your model!! Also like he said if you have question feel free to ask between the two of us we should be able to answer them.

Hehe… I have an old 1/72 that who knows what’ll happen to… (It’s not a pretty sight either… )

How about, one painted like Jeff Gordans NASCAR, or like the Thunderbirds

JEFF GORDON!??!??!?!??!??! [censored] [tdn]

Heh, you never know :stuck_out_tongue:

I might not even do anything to the old 1/72… Might just put it away in a box somewhere never to be seen again… or something
