In my whole modelling career, I’ve only built three Russian aircraft, this one, a Mig 3 and a Yak-1b. The Mig is from Trumpeter and the Yak-1b is from Accurate Miniatures.
This kit is just excellent, everything fits precisely where it should. My only headache were the bomb shackles, these needed a bit of head scratching to place properly. I also fear the landing gear will break, but as long as I don’t play with it by throwing bombs, everything should stay in place.
I used Revell Aqua colours for the camouflage.

Given that it’s the second-most produced aircraft ever, only recently surpassed by the Cessna 172, I’m always surprised how infrequently the Shturmovic gets modeled.
Great job on that one! The colors look just right. And I suspect your landing gear will be fine as long as you stick to nice hard grass landing strips.
Didn’t know the 172 had become the most produced plane ever. Maybe you don’t see ot often because it’s a big model?
Look great. Good to hear it goes together well. I have that one in the stash.

The landing gear is a bit fiddly, but assembles well once you have everything aligned.
Very nicely done, I have built the accurate miniature version with a worn white wash. Everyone says the Tamiya kit is a great kit.

I think that your Sturmovik turned out very well. I recently saw the movie “The Pilot” and this aircraft is used in it a lot.
Soviet planes are like my roman empire lol
Gorgeous and I LOVVVVE the blue you used

Thanks! The blue I used was Revell Aqua 55 Light Green Matt. Even though it was matt, it took some coats to fully cover the surface, a very thin paint it is.
