Thought I’d post this… it’s only my third plastic kit. I did it for the Mighty Eighth GB.

Thanks for looking.

Great job![Y]
Fantastic job!
I absolutely love it!
This is one of the few warbirds I haven’t built.
I should really rectify that one of these days!
3rd kit, wow!
Looks excellent, try your luck in the next local model contest, I think you will place well with that Jug!
Terrific work. Great job on the weathering; subtle and extremely realistic. Hard to believe it’s only your third kit.
Mark
Woohoo, another rzrback!! Very nicely done one too!!
Great looking Jug. Well done [Y].
Regards, Rick
Thats one of my fav kits the thing just falls together and you cant have to many jugs laying arount. You did a nice job on her.
Thad
Looks great and its only your third model!! (jaw dropping)
Thanks for the kind words… but I have to give a shout to the others in GB I did this for. I was happy with it when it looked like this.

The others in the build made suggestions and gave good advice. I’m happy with the result.
Looks like you did an excellent job of following thier suggestions! Great job! 3rd model and you’re already doing better than I can and I’ve been back at this for about 6 years now… Keep up the good work!
Great looking “Jug”. That’s quite a panel of ‘kills’ on the side. Are those the kit decals? Who’s aircraft was this?
It’s an Aero Master sheet, "The Wolf Pack Part IX. Robert Johnson 61st of the 56th It’s Johnson’s last Jug with the 61st squadron. The sheet didn’t include the name that should be on the right cowl “all HELL”… I dont know how to make decals yet.
Cool! I never realized Johnson had so many kills. He was really up there with the leaders. I always wanted to do Hub Zemke’s bird. He may not of been at the top of the heap as far as kills, but he led some of the best. He deserves some credit for that.
Looks like it’s in MUCH better shape than the previous P-47 Bob Johnson flew…[whstl]

I dig it! Love the Jug!
Johnson got two more kills with the 62nd squadron. That gave him 27. One more than Rickenbacker. He was grounded after that and sent on a warbond tour. At the time he was credited with 28 kills. Later one of the kills was awarded to another Johnson of 61st.
For being your 3rd build you did well grasshopper! Your weathering looks good.
looks great, nice work.
Simply said, well done my friend especially for being your 3rd build…!! Thank you for sharing…
Flaps up,
Mike
