I built this kit early last year and painted it in a 3-tone camo scheme. After seeing a cool 4-tone camo scheme in one of the links shared here, I decided to repaint it. And here she is now! I took the liberty of cleaning up the background to give more emphasis on the tank.
Another nice rework fresh out of the body shop Dwight. Seems like you give your tanks a fresh paint job right on scheadule witht he way they do the 1:1 ones [:D]
Tigerman: Thanks. I also like the ambush camo. Very interesting although I never really think they really worked.
Mark: Thanks, too.
LQ2: Well sometimes when I don’t have the urge to go on with the assembly of a current project, I just look at my completed models. Sometimes I would tell myself that this one needs a new paint job and that is it… For the background…I just removed the white wall and the (breakfast cereals boxes) in the background using photoshop. I am actually re-doing all my photos for my website in preparation for the web ring thing. I know that ous sites wil be visited more often by then. Thanks.
Dwight,
looks great!
love the ambush scheme, and that one is beautifully executed.
but it does make me think the ‘leaves’ on my Panther are about twice the size they should be!
grrrr!
well, perhaps i will wait some years & then repaint it!
how did you strip the old paint, decals, wash, weathering & what-have-you ?
super job dwight… I really like that a lot. What did it look like before? You say it used to be 3 tone… Did you just add the 4th dark green or repaint all of it? Great job on the weathering and figs. Keep up the great work…
