First, off, yes, I know there’s a SCI Fi GB on going. But I decided to try and get this GB going a year ago, and so decided to stick with it even after wayne got strong armed into the other GB.

So, in the lead up to coming release of Episode VII in Dec 2015, would there be any interest in a Star Wars GB. The last one we had was in 2009, so we are well over due one any way. The GB would include builds from al of the movies, the expanded universe and Star Wars inspired what if builds (yes, I know, its Sci Fi, they are all what if, but I am sure you know what I mean [;)])

If there is enough interest, the build would start on Jan 1st 2015 with an end date pencilled in for Dec 18th, the current release date of Ep VII. Cross over would be allowed.

So let me know what you think, and if its a go, the build thread will be put up in early Dec.

I’ve been looking for a feeler since you first mentioned this to me last spring. I’m definitely in. I’ve been eyeing my stash and have it narrowed down to a couple of kits.

Well I do have that one lonely Star Destroyer in my stash… I originally wanted to build it for Wayne’s GB, but I’m afraid I’ll have to drop out of that one. I want to try my hand at some lighting, but the custom lighting set I ordered wasn’t available. That basically means I’ll have to wait untill I can find another set or take the time to make the lighting from scratch. All that aside, the bloody thing is 100% resin and it’s gonna take a lot of time to get her built up and painting and weathering won’t be a weekend task either…

Long story short, I’d be delighted to join cause I doubt I’ll be able to get her some in time for the SCI-FI GB…

No problem. What kit is that by the way, I didn’t know of any other SD kits apart from the plastic one.

It’s the Anigrand resin kit. I believe they only made 200 of them quite a while back. Believe me, you don’t wanna know what those things are selling for…

The scale is quite impressive: 1/2256. It scales out at 71cm x 46cm.

MY LHS’ owner is going to help me out a bit with constructing a sturdy base and getting all the resin parts cleaned up and bent back to their correct shape. Hhe has far more experience than me in that regard…

Actually, I just found out. Holy crap. But it looks a whopper, a lot bigger than the plastic kit.

Thanks Bish [H]. I think I’m leaning towards building an AT-AT in a Hoth diorama.

I hope you get it sorted out Clemens, I’d love to see that massive Star Destroyer put together.

Bob, is that the AMT kit. I did build that with the snow speeders heading towards the AT-AT. Unfortunately it was lost but I have got the kit again. I look forward to seeing yours, I think we are going to have a nice selection of builds.

Did your kit not come with any. Most of the boxings came with two snow speeders and two gun turrets, the ones at Hoth base. I am guessing you must have the one with a movie print.

No, mine didn’t come with it. I raided it from a Hoth Echo Base kit, it looks to be the same scale to me

hey SS no worries on dropping out my GB. i understand especially given having to wait for the parts to do it the way you want. mine runs through next june and we do crossovers so whatever works for you. i have GBs i never finished and intend to be mire discriminating in the future to preclude that again.

Which walker do you mean wayne. Both the AT-AT and AT-ST have been produced.

Bish: is the SW GB strictly Star Wars or would alternate markings be allowed? I did a Naboo fighter awhile back in RAF camo/markings. I keep looking at the Snow speeder and thinking Luftwaffe in sandgelb.
