It’s been a few years since I last posted any pics of my builds, so thought I might share some.
This is a 1/72 Tamiya (Italeri rebox) kit that I built for the Phantom GB. The kit was ok, level of detail was nothing like you would expect from a genuine Tamiya (something I didn’t realise at the time of purchase). In any event, it was a chance for me to try splinter camo, something I’ve never done before. I was pretty happy with how the masking all came out.
I wanted a dirty plane, so also tried a bit of weathering.
This is a 1/72 Fujimi F-4, again built for the Phantom GB. This was a slightly better kit than the Tamiya, but still had the raised panel lines which I’m not a big fan of. I kept this one nice and clean.
The camo was done freehand and the decals denote it as a RAAF F-4.
Finally, this is a 1/48 Tamiya Fw-190. It was the first 1/48 kit I’ve built since I was a teenager.
I just wish I had painted the fuselage bands rather than using the decals. I decals have cracked horribly on the underside. If I ever build again, I’ll definitely paint them on.
It’s a combination of pastels (both the Tamiya brand and art store pastels) and Windsor & Newton oils. I tried to emphasise the joint in the wings, I assume they must get pretty dirty.
was it really necassary for you to put your builds up there or are you that superficial and full of yourself because i didnt see anybody ask to see your builds
Luckily, rankings don’t take into account such things as class, tact, appreciation of another’s work or effort to make friends - good job fishead! [Y] uhh, not… And what is a “necassary”?
I’m liking that Luftwaffe Phantom as well, interesting camo option.
Some people just do’nt seem to get it. We post pictures because we like to show others what we do and others would like to see what we are talking about.Words are only words, a picture is a whole story. With that said, great builds and do’nt stop posting pics.
i guess another great way to become ranked is to sit on your butt all day making posts and not getting and not doing anything worthwhile with your time
