I agree with you completely Stik. I like RM kits and build and buy them whenever they’re available. They aren’t as expensive as Tamiya and Trumpeter.
Nice job on the P-51

Thank you Willie. I started this thread to rebut all teh slandering of Monogram kits that goes on here. As canbe seen from the work here, that is pretty much unfounded. Lots of beautiful kits built here from those “unbuildable” Revellogram “junk”
I look forward to seeing more.
Forgot to say: I have have been building R/M for some 40 years now as well as other brands, and have no more problems from the R/M kits than I’ve had with all the others I’ve built. The price is what brings me back more often than anything to do with fit or whatever. For more specific aircraft, I’ll buy another brand, ie: Fw 190A -7 that R/M only makes in a Fw 190A, just for example. I Have nothing Bad to say about them, and will build more for sure, as mentioned in my post with photos. Thanks for starting this thread.

Man those are beautiful B-17’s truly impressive work to be sure [t$t]
My most recent build, well just finished today the 1/48 Monogram F-14A Tomcat, got this kit off of ebay for 99 cents plus 6 bucks shipping. I built it after the one on display at the Ronald Regan Library which is only 2 miles away from me. First the real deal.

Now the model. This Tomcat, actually two of them, had an interesting history that can be read in the Swing Wing Group Build.

I have 2 more Monogram kits on the bench now, an F-15 and a P-51D
Nice Vetteman![Y] One of the Nimitz’s Sukhoi killers?
awesome work on those B-17’s up there. still working on an A-10 and F-15 both in 1/48 scales. just got done sanding down the A-10 for paint. will post pics when im done.
Here is couple of mine oldies but goodies and a PBY

I really like that Kingfisher MKelly! Very eye catchin in that Golden Wings scheme![H]
Well here is my latest addition to the ongoing R/M builds collection. Revell’s new tooled 1/48 F-84E Thunderjet.

and posed for scale reference next to Monogram’s Classic older brother, the Republic P-47D.

I’m no master modeler like you guys with your beautiful models, but here’s my work in progress P-38J in Dick Bong’s livery. It’s awaiting some corrective painting and then I’ll clear coat it and put on the decals. The canopy needs to be painted, as well. It’s one of my first builds where I did all the work and my dad didn’t help but to offer me tips. I’m quite proud of it, honestly.
Your P-38 is coming aliong nicely befee[Y] I amlooking forward to seeing the completed build here…
hey. its looking like a -38 !! Keep it up ! [Y]
Thanks guys! I just need to finish fixing some red over-spray on the silver and paint the gear bay doors before I can continue. I kinda sorta broke my compressor >_< waiting on it to get fixed before I can continue. It’s in the shop now. After that, it’s decals, weathering, and display. Will post pictures when it’s done.
Here is one of mine.

Nice yellow wing TBD!! [Y][Y]
Monogram 1/48

Here’s my 1/48 Monogram P-40B, done up in what I like to call “The Hawkeye Warhawk”:

A Monogram P-51D in 1/48:

A 1/72 scale A-10, also by Monogram:

the 1/48 A-10 by Monogram

and a 1/72 Me-262 by RoG

just some recent builds of mine. I’ve got a Monogram B-25 in the works right now.

Well since the ‘how are R/M kits?’ threads are starting to surface again, and since I had not yet added my latest R/M completed build, back from the summer comes this undead thread…[aln]
Monogram F9F-5 done as seen in The Bridges at Toko Ri
