Been working on the indy track links of my tamiya Sturmy . I got 50 links cleaned up so far in the last week (200 ejector pin marks ). also i started some assembly on the hull and the mortar assembly . The instructions call for white interior . Would a grayish white look more to scale ? Seems pure white would be to bright .
OK. I have no idea if this is the original paint or not. I doubt that it spent much time outside since it was captured, being such an unusual vehicle. Judging from the rust, if inside since captured, this might be the original paint. I am not expert on german colors, so you might want to ask around for another opinion. Hope it helps!
Wow , she sure got rusted up. Actually that aint bad for a 60 yr old is it . Looks like a good answer to my question GunTech ! Thanks for posting the picture .
You are very welcome my fiend.
Hmm , "fiend " ? Ha ha ha, LOL
Thanks again "friend "
Sorry for that my “friend” I guess I got mixed up with my love of armors and Ravenloft from AD&D. lol!
If you can… post pics of your build. I am very interrested. I have it with the Eduard PE but won’t tackle it for now.
Well I’v made a start on the Bishop but wish I had’nt.Every part is covered in flash and sink marks but unless I go resin this is the only way of getting this build on the shelf.
I picked up another Trumpeter 1/35 AS-90 at the weekend so if I loose patience with the Bishop I might start on that.
I’ll post more pics as I progress.
Academy M12 SPA Build Update #1:
I finally made some good progress on this M12 kit. I finished the interior, constructed and attached the bogies, assembled the bottom and top hulls and attached a few of the miscellaneous items - gas caps, etc.
This kit has been a dream to build so far. I’ve not found a single part that has any flash. The part fit is outstanding. I think I could actually build this kit without the use of glue (yes, an exaggeration, but only a small one) - the alignment is right on and the parts fit snug, but not too tight.
I like the pedigree of this SPA as well. It made some dramatic contributions in the ETO late '44 and '45. I’ll have to scan and post this one photo I found of a whole line of M12’s blasting away at the enemy.
I will try to post a couple pics of the current state of the build this week.
Larry
That looks way better than the last time I tackled a Maquette kit Glyn. Right on!
Can’t wait to see the pics of your new creation Larry!
I searched on Ebay and such and found no M109A2 models (I gun chiefed one of these) so if this is still open for new comers I would like to build a Italeri M110 8 inch.
Dave
Hi Dave.
I have to say that I never seen a M-110 before, so I looked some pic and what a monster! That will be an interresting build!
I converted the Testors M107 to a M110 A1 and a M110 A2 years ago with a verlinden conversion . Is the Italeri kit an M110 A1 or A2 Dave ?
Its definitley still open, will be till it ends. Your in, Welcome to the SP Arty and Mortar GB 2006!!
Will
Privateer - 1/35 scale I assume??
Espins1 - Any idea what you might be building yet??
Will
Yes it is a A2 long tube Italeri No. 291 - scale 1:35. Can anyone point me to a good online shop?
The 2 shops on this page dont carry Italeri.
Not yet, I’m still trying to get my hands on an Italeri M7.
Okay
