Self Propelled Artillery/Mortar GB 2006-2007

He He! I wouldn’t use the word “miniature” for a Sturmtiger.[:D]

[(-D] You can use one of the crewman as a cleaning brush!

I love that pic

Great picture ! That brings up a question . With all of that flame from the rocket what would the paint on the front of a Sturmtiger look like . I’ve seen models ( done one myself ) with the paint on the front superstructure looking the same as the rest of the vehicle . It would seem that the paint would show seriouse damage . If i build this thing again it will be the Tamiya 1/35 kit . Previousely i built one using the Verlinden resin superstructure on a Tamiya Tiger 1 hull . Thats a big hunk of resin , weighs maybe 1/2 lb .

ya mean like this

it has a 38cm/380mm/15in bore

Now that is one BIG BAD TIGGER!!!

More great pictures ! Thanks Gun Tech and PanzerWulf [tup]

Not much paint damage on the front hull or superstucture in these pictures . Maybe some "sooting " is about all that would happen . The Tamiya kit mentions the "steel ring counterweight " but its not in the parts , should be easy to scratchbuild .

This one has the conterweight

This one doesn’t have it

This one looks pretty well blackened .

Thanks Gun Tech . [tup]

My pleasure, I’ve got a lot of pictures of one surviving example in Sinsheim. Tell me if you want any.

dumb question but i figured i would ask  would the leopold railgun qualify i doubt it but worth a shot. thanks guys

It all depends… from what I can see from pics… no… was it moving under it’s own power? It has to be, in order to be qualified as self propelled.

Thank you for your offer Gun Tech , i do not have a printer right now but may be getting ahold of one soon . Let me get back to you when i get it . Is Sinsheim in Germany ?

Thanks for the info GT,I’ll still have to buy one as like you say they look awesome.[:D]

thanks gun .no it doesnt move on its own power looking for any excuse to buy the model

I think it is. The pics are not mine though, its a compilation of what I found on the net. Here’s a cool site for you, they have the best pics of it.

[:)] It just look wicked and awesome! But I need more reason than that for the wife to allow me to add the kit in the stash…

i already hinted to the wife thats what i want for xmas  hope to get it. i wantto join this group build gun do you know any good kits of modern armor in the sp catagory? or anyone else in the build know ? thanks guys

I’m sorry kenny, I just deal with German WWII. The Panzerhaubitze 2000 looks really wicked though, but I don’t know if any compagny is making it.

thanks gun i will look around i am sure there is something out there

Revell of Germany makes a 1/35 scale one, that’s what I’m doing for the build…

Mine’s on the way as we speak.

The Paladin is a good one, Italeri makes a less expensive one, as well as the M109 et.al. I wanted to try and kitbash the Israeli Slammer but I found the PzH 2000 for a decent price, and I’ve never done a Revell of Germany kit before, so it’ll be a learning experience for me.
