Sail Plane Kits?

Are there good small scale (1/24, 1/32 or 1/48) modern sail plane kits? I’ve seen some gigantic kits (the wingspan of 6-7 feet).

Revell of Germany makes a 1/32nd Schlieker ASK-21 thats a really nice kit. Modela and some other Eastern European companies also produce sailplane kits in small scales.

Guillows makes a 1/24th Schweizer SGS-2-32 in balsa…

Planet makes some vintage gliders in 1/48, resin. I have several and think they are great. But not modern.

I had one of the RG ASK kits. It was very nice, but during painting I had left an unnoticed gap masking the canopy and it let white spray into interior and ruined it. I should try another, though.

The very first bird I ever flew by myself was a 1950 Sweizer in N. Y. Now I wish I just could get close to one .

The Revell kits are nice, but hard to find. I’ve built all of them, many times actually.

Also, here is a 1/48 Ardpol SZD-51 that I built recently.
