Frank, you are the man. Ive just done the last of my Crimbo Shopping, so im off to have a crack at my 109 pit. Hopefully, have that sucker done ready to start my Italian stunner.
Guy the Hasegawa Mc 205 is a sweet kit. I build one a while back and the fit is as good as any kit I have ever built. Start praticing you smoke ring camo. Its really tough to pull off.
Hey Frank, those PCM kits are the biz. Dont they come with loads of resin and stuff?
SC, it looks lovely. Really has to be on eof the prettiest looking planes of WW2 for sure. As for the smoke ring camo. Im nnnoottt nerrrvvoouuss at all. LOL.
I’m in! Put me down for MAhacci (forgive the spelling, edit please) 202c. Veletro made by 21st century toys. As the manufacture’s name suggests, It’s kinda toyish but pretty aggurate. Oh, and yes. It’s 1/32nd.
Hey I am still way to sick to be posting as I sit here enjoying my milkshake and perscription Narcotics? I must say I do not see the alure with drugs! I like to be in control of my whatevers too much to be a good drug user and drinker I guess But I am buzzing away now!
cOULDN’T PASS THIS ONE UP! Avus er Klaus! It was not supposed to be Regia Aeronauica ! It was meant to be Reggae aero nauts! Man! Ja see we pass the douche on the left hand sidw and fell the rythm of Ja Bongos! That carribean sound that goes so ofteh with de rum man!
So find yerself some dreadloxs man and get to snapping the plastic. Ju will find it good for the spirit!
Guy thanks for posting the link on the SM 79 footage. Really cool stuff. There were several cool videos. Great stuff!
Aaron buddy LMAO! I know exactly how you are feeling right now. Lost all 8 of my front upper teeth in an accident. One whole summer every other week four hours in the chair at a time! 8 steel post implanted in my upper jaw with crowns. I was out there on pain meds all summer. I do’nt underdstand either why people enjoy the feeling of your head floating on your shoulders. Hang in there buddy it is all worth it in the end when you can finally bite into a big burger agian without worring about swallowing your tempararies!
I checked out both the Trumpeter and the Classic Airframes kits tonight. I can’t decide which one to do. I forgot that I had purchased a decal sheet from Tauro Models. It has three options for the Sm 79 plus markings for a Fiat Cr42 a G50 Bis AS and a G50 B. The CA kit is loaded with two huge bags of resin. The interior detail is spectacular on this kit. Frankly [no pun intended] a little intimidating.
Im not worried about the smoke rings in my cammo job, I have a set of decals I bought for the kit a few months ago. I would like to AB them freehand though. I might get some practice on them over the holliers.
Hey Guy, Im not looking at them right now but I believe they are Mike Grant. I saw them and just couldent pass them up, They are very impressive looking.
Whats going on with the chompers, I just had mine out last week also. Is it a modellers disese.
You are correct, they are from Mike Grant. I just ordered a set of those “smoke ring” decals from him yesterday! I have seen them used as well and they sure looked nice. Here’s a link:
Cheater! Cheater! Just kidding.[:D]. I tried freehanding the smoke rings on my Mc205. I was not really happy with the results. They came out heavier than I wanted to. I think the next time I will be using the decals also.
Guy the amount of resin detail on the CA kit is unbelieveable. OOB it is an absolute stunner when it comes to the interior detail. I can not see one thing that you could add. When you throw in the photo etch bits and the Eduard set for the torpedo racks it could be one impressive model if I don’t goof it up!
Hey guys. Is it too late to jump in on this one? Been a fan or RA aircraft for a long time.
Not sure what I’d build yet. I have several RA aircraft in the stash, but I’m kind of saving those for later. I may order something special for the GB.
