I hadn’t even thought about agricultural aircraft… hmmmm… I can’t think of a single good looking crop duster. Why do they have to look so much like a cheap appliance? [(-D]
I know, I know… they look that way because that’s what they are… [;)]

I hate Harriers! I use to have a problem with them waking me up. They’re ugly, and they don’t work very well. I’ve heard them refered to as North Carolina Lawn Darts. It seems fitting.
Semper Fi,
Chris
Ditto on the Harriers, a couple came into ElCentro when we were there for ACM/DACM training and blew some concrete chunks out on the runway. As expected one of our Tomcats landed shortly after them and runined our chance at 2 years F.O.D. free. You could see all the way through the engine.

Hey Hey I got it!!
That stupid plane that sets straight up on it’s tail. The one they said was suppose to be the first plane with a vertical take off. Only problem was they couldn’t land it looking through their rear veiw mirrors! What a waste of money![banghead]
Zip
Some of the planes that I don’t like are the Pogo planes that took off from their tail, the C-27 (I think it’s the right designation) Sherpa, and the Storch.
Good Day sir,
I dont think you came off as an apologist, i actually didnt read your email correctly, apologies… but in any case outside the US Frog is a well known term and just not very nice.
True, i think no matter what aircraft there are advantages and disadvantages, as a Mig-25 cant turn worth its life, but its one of the fastest…I think in comparison the only true opposition to the F-15, those built to kill the F-15, might be the Su-27 family and Mig-29’s. The Mirage F.1 is more in the Mig-23 class, and Mig-29 i agree with you.
I again think all technology must be taken in context. Often there are situations like with the F-4 in Vietnam, where there is still debate which is the better plane. I think when the U-2, or F-117 is shot down by Sam missile, we always must consider that there is a limit to technological advantages.
Cheers
Milan
OK, Milan, we’ve both said our piece now. Let’s let them have their thread back.[:)]
Here’s another one for you guys to think about. It wasn’t a production aircraft, the YF-107. I give it a resounding BOOOOOOO!
OK…
Bad aircraft…Seversky P-35…gross…
As others have said, I can’t say I hate any aircraft, but the aircraft I least care about has to be the Fiat G.50. That has got to be the ugliest mono-wing fighter plane of WWII. It was underpowered, underarmed and just plain ugly. The only reason I even know about it is because I was forced to fly it in an IL-2: Forgotten Battles online war. You had to be a pretty good pilot to take down a Hurricane Mk.I or II in a Fiat G.50.
Just “plane” ugly… BN Trislander
The Brewster Buffalo.
Fencers, Fitters, Frogfoot…
British WWII heavy bombers.
The Brewster Buffalo is that real ugly dog that lives down the street, and it looks so sad and lonely cause no one pets it. 60, it’s not a mean dog, it won’t bite…give it a little pat on the head.[:)]
OK, mortarmagnet, I did. I petted it. And it was surprisingly sweet. But still ugly.
-60[:(]
I also has three legs…that’s why it’s slow.
Blackburn Skua
Skua.
What the heck is a Skua? I don’t dislike the plane just the name. It think it’s a bird or something.
The Blackburn Blackburn, ugly plane with a stupid name. I think it was designed by some guy named Peter Peters.
And…
If you put a 4-gun turret in place of the rear cockpit of a Skua, you get a Roc.
(yes, Skuas and Rocs are types of birds)
Anyone for a McDonnell XF-85 Goblin?
How dare you! I really enjoyed riding that at Kennywood. Remember, that had six of 'em on some steel arms and they go up and down, round and round.[:D]
ROFL! I think there’s one outside my local KMart.
Hmmm - if you stuck a prop on the front of it, it would bear more than a passing resemblance to Monogram’s “Flap Jack” (for those who have been around long enough to recall it)
'73… must have been some interesting incense burning at Monogram…
