Pics of my almost complete Jagdtiger

Finally got the paint on her ,( she is not too pretty BTW) , figured I would post a few in here . She still needs the command antennae ( which is on order , and may not come in for a while ) and the interior has to be finished , when i get a chance to do that, hence the crack in the hull front still . This is going to represent commander Otto Carrius’ jagd shortly before his surrender in April 15 1945, the # is purley speculative as I have not been able to find out his real # , no matter how hard I have tried . There is not much info on the jagdtiger itself much less individual machines , the paint is fairly accurate of the 512 PzJg Abt tigers, it wasn’t like the late war camo of the Tiger II tanks or the Panthers . Anyhow enough of my long windedness , heres some pix ! And finally ( sorry for the above sideways view, I realized that after I uploaded the picture , so just turn your monitor on its side and all will be well for that one ! So tell me what is wrong with this next picture !

Excellent Job spector!!! I like the wheathering on it!!! How did you do the treads? Are they indy treads? Whats that kit?[bow][bow][bow]

Coca-Cola wasn’t in aluminum cans at the time of the JagdTiger’s reign? LOL! ! !

Very nice Shawn. Looks great from where I am.

That is absolultey correct scorn ![:D] Armourmaster the kit is DML JT henschell highly modified with that ABER stuff ( 2 kits of it , fenders and the regular goodies , What fun ! [banghead] eduard barrel ( hence the need for barrel viagra or a bottle ) the thing has some weight to it , the tracks are model kasten , ( don’t even go there , this will be my last MK kit ever !)[banghead] , now to weathering tracks got my usual black , rust job over , silver drybrush and graphite , the whole tank got washed , chipped, then dusted with thinned out humbrol earth , Black pastel on the main gun and mahine gun front earth dust on the rest . The commander drinks to much ,and his army airborne cohorts drink too much coca cola !

looks great. i wonder who would win…a M1A1 or a Jagdtiger!![(-D][(-D]

Nice job, Spec. I think that figure in black uniform does not belong there. The colors just do not match that of the tank. He-he-he.

Looking great Spector.

Looks awesome love it. I just got this kit only differance is I think is mine came with transport tracks instead of combat tracks and no fenders, and a few photo etched parts is there some where I can get the combat tracks and other goodies?

where do you live thundergod , you can have my DML indies if you would like them , however the next Question would be , is it a porsche version or a henshell ? Porsche version , the links may not match up . Just let me know . The fenders are aber , they are a bit trickey to build , but as you can see they are pretty kool when done , my terrible camera does not do this model justice , but I do the best I can with what I got , as for the aber , if you can solder the larger bits together it is worth it , you need plumbers flux to pull it off and fine wire silver and lead solder, I am doing a marder 3 with aber fenders, the superglue was just making a mess , so i tried soldering ,and the results were just awesome , you cannot break the bond without destroying the brass , if you are careful there is no more residue than with CA glue

I have the henshell kit # 9036 it also came with a command anttena I just took a peak in the box the kit looks nice. And I live in the good old heartland …omaha nebraska. Good thing Im a welder from the sounds of it .hehehe So if they will work I will take em off you hands, transport tracks do not do this beast justice.

Just toss me an e mail with your address , I will try to send em’ out tomorrow to ya ’ use my spector82@aol.com mailbox

Its on the way and thanks again spector822002 .[yeah][yeah]

well done (so far)

joe

Great work on the beast, it even feels dangerous from those pictures [:)]

Looks great… Can’t wait to see it once you have everything done…

That’s top shelf! Looks really great.

Man that is one great looking piece! All that work (including the eventual repair to your wall) is well worth it! It’s so cool when it all comes together. I bet it would give Otto the chills.

Niiiiice!

Shawn,
Great Job chief! The weathering is top notch… I like the blurred out camo a lot. Hope that interior comes together… What kind of airbrush do you use? Paint?

Keep it up bro, I can’t wait to see the dio…

PS. sorry I coudn’t keep up [:D]
