Photos from Army 250th Birthday Celebration

You could essentially have your pick of Howitzer or helicopter- nice display and I liked being able to touch vehicles and take photos with them without any sort of fencing. The soldiers were also very nice and eager to answer any questions. : )

The Army had planned this celebration before the parade was announced! The security was very tight though, and the whole national mall was fenced in by the secret service and police were practically everywhere. Although once I managed to get inside it was great, I could just walk up to stuff and ask soldiers about the vehicles : )
The protests were not taking place near the event, I think there were some in downtown DC, and the protests were peaceful anyway so no worries.

Thanks for posting the photos. I know it’s old, but the Huey is still my all time favorite!
