PAT KLUNDERS M-7 GUN MOTOR CARAGE MORE PICS 03-31-10

Sorry for the long absence, life sometimes gets in the way!

**My/**Our little group of modelers are working hard to get ready for an up-coming contest.

I will be posting updates on some of my old builds as well as some new stuff, but for now;

My friend Pat (whom I’ve been teaching armor modeling to) has
really blossomed into a “master of the art”!

Please check this album out,
and return for updates as we will be painting it this Sunday.

Looking great so far! I’m loving the detail. [Y]

Holy smoke! That is fantastic! I love the PE and the open engine bay. Cheers Dave

WOW, that is some build.[Y]

I’m build ‘Revells’ M7 and it is an absolute “PIG” of a build, it being a very old kit.

Even so I could not build to that standard…cheers…Kenny

that look like a great build…and some of the best photo posting i have seen.

Very nice work. The engine compartment is a nice touch. Great work on the PE.

Rounds Complete!!

When I opened the thread the first thing that popped into my head was, “MMMM shiny brass” ala Homer. Nice work over that bad boy.

He shouldn’t paint it…

[dto:] No paint! [:D]

beautiful detail. Wonderful job!

Thanks for all the great feedback! Panzerjager’s been a fantastic mentor but sometimes he pushes me to do way more than I had planned. This was just going to be a “slammer”, strictly out of the box build.

I started with the basic Italeri Priest and used the M4 Accademy suspension and trans housing. The main gun is Dragon’s M2A1 105mm howitzer that has been heavily modified. Edouard and Royal pe, a Verlinden resin Continental radial engine and plenty of scratch parts provide the eye candy.

Panzerjager also talked me into doing a full up build of Accademy’s M36 Jackson and Dragon’s T26 Pershing. They turned out great and won several awards locally. The biggest problem is I can’t seem to do slammers anymore!

We’ll keep you posted on how this conglomeration of parts turns out. Thanks again to all!

Holy cow poo!

That is freaking awsome…

Bob

Priest before painting, this is a good panzerfaust shot.

Night before last we shot it with floquil boxcar red for a primer coat. Last night applied model masters OD acryl.

Shot the engine in gloss black and painted some details, next comes weathering.

Engine covers, 2 deuce ammo boxes and a scratched tool box. The dog gone toolbox took 3 nights!

Sorry, this is my first posting and I suck at it.

Not a bad job on your 1st posting!

Glad ya got into the forum Shoot n scoot (Pat).

Can’t wait till tomorrow when ya start weathering her!

Best of all, I get ta see it happen in person!!!

For everybody’s info, these pictures don’t do this thing justice.

PANZERJAGER

Hope to have decals on this beast this afternoon. Also working on a full set of com gear, more pics to come.

Added decals, burnt umber wash and black pin wash using artists oils.

Scratch built 3 sets of como gear including headsets and microphones out of sprue for the driver, TC and gunner.

Got some paint on the engine and fire suppression system, weathering will come later.

Painted the fire extinguishers, jump seats and seat belts. The driver’s seat was a real pain because I had to go through the visor opening to get to it. Still have to install the engine and fab up the intake and exhaust pipes. Crew personal weapons have to be painted and installed. Then comes dry brushing, more weathering and track insallation.IMG]http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz19/shootandscoot-photos/M-7%20PRIEST/SD531005.jpg[/IMG]

Sorry this is th image showing decals and washes.

She’s lookin’ good, Shoot & Scoot!

Can’t wait ta see her finished![Y]

PANZERJAGER
