PAT KLUNDERS M-7 GUN MOTOR CARAGE MORE PICS 03-31-10

.Sorry I’m late updating this post, been adding lots of little parts. Trying to make a vignette out of this. A special thanks to Panzerjager for taking these pics. As usual, all comments and criricism is welcome. Hope to wrap this up by next week.

For some reason I can’t post more images than this one, they all come up with the same IMG code.

.

Let me help ya out man…

PANZERJAGER

Beautifull piece of modelling, If it was mine i would have to agree with some of the previous posts ,i would not have painted it . There was too much work that somehow gets swallowed up with paint. Shame they dont have categories in competitions for built but unpainted models. That would have been a top award winner for sure. Dont get me wronge it is a beautiful model painted aswell.

Some very nice/impressive detail work going there for sure. Very nice indeed! [Y]

Very nice…love the engine work. The howitzer compartment looks great. Very nice detail. If you want to be real anal, since you did the open fiber,…The flat tops of the fiber for the rounds a pressed metal. Since the tube is cardboard it will be flat black but the cap will be semi-gloss. On the open fiber, there is a metal ring at the top to protect the cardboad, so the very top would be silver or aluminum the rest a cardboad color.

But again…that if we are counting threads on the bolts. The model looks great as is.

Rounds Complete!!

That is a very impressive M-7![Y] There are many details that you have brought together to pull this one off. THe one that jumps out at me is the exhaust screen. The smoke/black oval that concentrates at the exhaust ports and then fades out at the edges. Nice touch!

Cheers

Dave

Thanks for all the great feed back, you guys are a real shot in the arm on this tedious build. Red leg 12, hope you’re planning on writing a book about all of your observations! I for one would pay top dollar for it. You’re a gold mine of excellent information.

Will try to wrap this thing up this week and get more pics. Am also thinking of including pics of the build with the model display so people can see everything that went into it.
