Panther G steel wheel FINISHED-lots-o-pics

Looking good wing-nut, out of curiosity, what’s the 2nd kit going to be? [:D]

Thhnaks guys.

yeah doog… I could burned at the stake for that… or at the very least strapped to the muzzle brake

Bill I just went to the LHS today and picked up the Dragon Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. F1(F) z.K[:P]pfw. IV Ausf. F1(F)

See, resistance is futile. Goodness, you still need a Tiger, KT, Sherman, T-34, etc…

YOU CAN!

…don’t forget an M10, Hellcat, M36, Stuart, Fireflys…KV-1, IS-2…Panzers I-III, StuG’s, the whole 234 series, 251 halftracks, a Hetzer, all the cool things based on the Panzer IV chassis…

Then, of course, you could get into the weird stuff. [(-D]

Ooooh! Forgot all of the Marder II’s, III’s, and Wespe. What was I thinking? [D)]

Easy, easy… down boy! Take a dep breath[:D]

You know, in celebration of your upcoming 5000th post, you should stock your stash with one of everything applicable to a good solid armor foundation…[:-,]

Hehhehehhe.

I couldn’t agree more!!! LOL, get as many as possible over here Dupes! [:D]

It is useless to resist! Once you start down the Dark Side forever will it dominate your destiny! muwahahaha!!

The panther was looking great…until it sprouted some strange wingy things and now looks like some abomination!! (hehe…JK!!)

wing-nut, I can’t believe you’ve got that new Dragon kit!! I want one SO BAD!! Keep up the good work…we love converts! Soon you will be strong with the Dark Side and we will call you Darth Armor_Nut

You’ve made a good choice WN for your 2nd kit…the Pz IV Smart Kits are a real joy to build. [tup]

5000? Yeah just 6 away… well 5 now[:D]

Again thanks for the encouragement. And for the gantle nudges in the direction of MORE ARMOR.

I feel my willpower slowly waning… OMG, I even watched “Anatomy of an Abrams Tank” on the military channel last… ON PURPOSE[V]

Look into my eyes…

…more - armor…

…more armor…

more… armor

more zimmmmmmmmmm…

I think the Aircraft forum has lost another…Sad but innevitable.

Looking really sweet Marc. Keep up the good work.

…Guy

And when I snap my fingers you will walk around like a chicken

Hehehhe…that’s actually a pretty decent show. Watched it a couple of times myself. [;)]

Better watch out! Only 2 posts left! Better say something deeeeep and meaningful for the big 5-0-0-0! [#toast]

Sorry dupes… nothing profound… but I had to back home (the aircraft forum) for the big one.

I try to remember to do 10,000 here.

Hmmm? How many can I do between now and then?

Huh…that’s a good question. Do you have any idea how many builds you did over the course of your FIRST 5000 posts?

Some touch ups to do but the basic paint job is done. Not having done this before I used the drawing on the instruction sheet as a guide. Top and right side views not included so had to best guess the way the pattern would flow around the tank. And WOW did that take a long time. Could have done 5 aircraft in the same amount of time. Something else to get used too with armor that I have learned. LOTS of care needs to be taken since the thing bristles with little “breaky off” things. Now I am going to curse myself by saying so, but so far no re-gluing…yet

WOW! Happy 5,000th post, wing nut! That’s pretty serious! Who’s the #1 poster? Anybody know?

Your KT looks good there! YOu don’t have to follow patterns on instruction sheets, really, unless you’re going for a specific and uniquely painted vehicle, For themost part, you can just go with your own imagination. Even on such well-known and mythical tanks as Wittman’s 007, no one has the definitive camo scheme down from 4-angles; there’s a lot of guesswork involved.

Are the wheels glued on the tank yet?

Haaaahahhahaha…“breaky-off” things. [(-D] Oddly enough, I tend to break more on my a/c then on my armor. snap (landing gear) [:O]!

AB job looks real good to me! Now comes the fun part where you have to move far, far away from your aircraft background and MESS IT UP! Muaaaaahahahhaha! [}:)]

EDIT - Any word on your celebratory armor binge-buying for the 5,000th post? [(-D]
