First, wow, that’s just awesome. I’ve totally bookmarked that site. I’ve got two Mustangs I’m planning to build for the 8th AAF GB, and this is perfect.
Second, what version P-51 is this? At first glance the canopy looks like a B/C, except that the port side slides rather than hinges down. But it looks like there’s way too much visibility out back for it to be a B/C. But the canopy is all wrong for a D. Confused…
If you zoom in on the data plates on the right side of the cockpit (just under the edge of the window), it clearly says it is a P-51C.

Wow, thanks for sharing this amazing site. This is probably the closest any of us will ever get to sit in the cockpit of a Mustang. Beautiful airplane inside & out.

Very cool site and features. Very well done cockpit. But a warning to those who may use it as a reference. If you are after accuracy be sure to do your research. That cockpit is modern and not a totally accurate representation of a wartime bird. Most of the componets are in the right places but the avionics are modern and don’t resemble original equipment. There are a few small componets installed that were never in a wartime bird also. And the floor? While a great looking example of fine woodworking, for a wartime bird it should be black. Actually, black paint with sand in it for a nonskid surface.
Do your research if accuracy matters to you. Otherwise, build away and be happy.
