Our Latest Acquisitions Since 2017

Interested to see how that Venom goes together. I’ve been eyeing that one for a bit.

Me too, I’ve been collecting every USMC helicopter and Andy’s had that on sale for 25%off (they still might) last Friday so I scooped it up for $30ish.

I haven’t yet built a long barreled Mark IV without all of the schurzen,I’m a sucker for Dragon German armor,so I found this on ebay

An oldie but a goodie

Nice! Plus a bunch of extra characters.

I’m going to build this in the near future. Please do a build log so I can follow along,

I saw that out there and almost pulled the trigger! I look forward to hearing how it goes. My very first model as an adult a was the monogram A-10, it was always my favorite aircraft.

Good to have you back! That’s quite a diverse haul. I’m looking forward to seeing them start to come to life.

The last of my 2025 acquisitions came in today. It’s an aircraft I’ve actually flown in in the early 80s and one I hadn’t realized existed in 1/48th scale until recently. Now all I need is the CH-53E (and eventually the ch-53k if they ever make a kit), and I’ll have all all the major USMC vertical takeoff helicopters/harriers/F-35b, tilt rotars stashed!

The V-22 is next up on the build schedule and then I’ll look closely at this latest. I’m debating which way to go, the combat grey or the formal green? I’m thinking of doing both the ch-46 and the venom in the formal green (image below) as I think they will show really well together. Thoughts?

WhatIfRebel, how did you get a photo of me? My family teases me all the time with my white hair & beard and I can’t wear the color red anymore either!!

Got the following today at my local Christmas model club meeting and Christmas gift exchange.
But since I don’t build armor, it’ll get donated to my local model club’s auction next year.

I was really “good” this week. I stopped by our local hobby store and they had three “new” Tamiya armor kits that I had been waiting for and I walked out without making a purchase. That’s gotta get me on Santa’s “good” list.

Demolition and Tojo, those are both very good assumptions but this time it was only me and my decision. I think that it’s a combination of getting on in years and realizing that I’ll never live long enough to finish what I have in the stash already. Now next time I’m at the hobby shop I can’t say what will happen.

Nice, my wife is a puzzle person as well, she doesn’t do it often but she can knock out a 1500 piece in a few days. Personally I’m lucky if I find one match in two days. Puzzles and I have an understanding, don’t bug me and I won’t bug you.

Nice puzzle Tony! That will look killer when finished and framed!

Well I went and jumped into the 3D rabbit hole… I had been wanting a printer for quite some time, but haven’t had the spare money to get one.. Until recently when a friend from my old IPMS & AMPS chapters said that he was selling his lightly used set up for a great price due to his being highly allergic to the resins. He gave me a sweet deal, so on Saturday we did an hit and run road trip to go pick it up. Then yesterday I set it up in my garage… he threw in multiple accessories as well

Now I just need to learn how to use the thing. So hopefully sometime in the next month or so I will be starting to produce some items. Keep your fingers crossed
