As a long time vacumform (VF) model builder familiar with the quality of Sanger kits you are to be commended for an excellant finished product. Well done. I hope you will see fit to build a few more VFs. I am certain from my experience that any other VF company kits will be easier than the one you have just finished.
I am curious about the color scheme. Most of the information I have on the Lincoln shows a white over black or a bare metal scheme. I am unaware of any Lincoln’s that were operational during WWII in the scheme you have on the model. However, Iam always open to being educated.
The wingspan on the linc’ is-29.5" and the length is 20", compared to the tamiya lanc’ which is - wingspan 25" and the length is 17" she looks evil [}:)] against the lanc’, glad you both like her … ian.
there were many units which had the cameo’ scheme on them for example - telecommunications flying unit at RAF defford, n’7 squadron RAF oakington, n’617 squadron RAF scampton, n’9 squadron RAF binbrook, argentine airforce,
Looking at your (AWESOME) model, I’m almost inspired to check back into a model that I’d like to do. There were plans for a British superbomber, basically a Lincoln with 10 engines. Seeing this model have given me the itch…
Very nice work. Was this the one I noticed over on the ARC forums, perhaps? (You don’t see too many vac 1/48 Lincolns, that’s why I ask.)
hello Lucien Harpress, yes those are my pic’s on the arc forums, god i once saw that 10 engined bomber in 1/48 bbbbbiiiiiiiiigggggg… thanks you like the linc’…ian.
