Mostly, you don’t use the actual rigging line to make the loop at the pin rail. The rigging is simply attached at the pin and cut off, then a separate loop is made and “hung” from the pin. As you have found, a beeswaxed line is hard to manipulate this way, so the hanging loops are made w/ line that has not been waxed. (see my post on my Connie build, near the bottom of the page, for one way to do this.)

So I won’t have to worry about the line going UNDERNEATH and around the bottom of the pin then? Be much simpler that way I see. It’s not a museum model, just something I can (and friends) can appreciate. Thanks for the tip, if just looping can be done. Onward and forward to the task at hand. Love your Constitution, one hell of a job done. Gonna get me another one and do it right this time.

As I look further, maybe the first line under and around that pin, then just loop a couple of times and a drop of glue.
Just enough to secure it since the loop you hang will hide it.
