What’s the plan for the 727 fleet?
Right now there are some Alaskan Air decal i want to get for them, but not high priority at the moment.
Ohh looky here!! A Hannebu II ! That’s definitely a cool kit!!
@mustang1989
Yeah, as soon as I saw it years ago, I knew I wanted to have it.
I was thinking of “What If’ing” it into a DALEK flying saucer type spaceship from Dr. Who. I just need to find some 1/72 or 1/144 scale Daleks is all.
You have a Pegasus!
I’ve been looking for one since before Moebius closed shop….
Greenstraberry is coming out with a cool fruit pack for it….
@Nomads
The Battlestar Pegasus box on the shelf is empty somewhat as I have already built the kit. There’s just some misc. leftover parts in there. But anyway, I built the Pegasus kit which I changed the name of it to “Triton” and added more gun turrets to it. Here’s a sample pic of it when I took it to a contest last year.

[/quote]Man that looks pretty darn good. Did you take any awards home for that beauty?
@mustang1989
Yep. Got a 1st Place award for a contest in September last year.
Then took the Triton to another contest last year in November and got a 2nd Place award.
Looks really good! Makes me want one even more…

I’m dealing with this mindset right now for one kit in particular. With my penchant for the old monster models, Hunchback is far and away my most desired. And yet, it’s constantly out of stock. But wait! Old Plastic Models .com has an original for $250USD! Hmmmm. Wait an eternity for the re-release to be re-stocked, or fork over the mega money and just get it? Decisions, decisions.
Cheers,
Mark
I love that tee shirt! Your collection of 1/72 Corvettes and U-Boats is very impressive.
I have 4 pending shipments coming from oldmodelkits. ![]()
I saw the Hunchback model last night I thought about you guys.
I got lucky a few years ago and got the recent reissue of the Hunchback kit when they weren’t so expensive and I really enjoyed building it. Like you I also enjoy the old Monster Model classics.
I know that I have more models in my stash than I have life left to build them. The problem is there are so many newer kits coming out that it is difficult not to get at least some of them. I guess that is part of the joy of modeling (the hunt and purchase). Kudos to you stikpusher, tempestjohnny, Montreals_finest and others as your stashes looks very well maintained/organized.
OMG! In doing a search for Hunchback, I came across the website MonstersInMotion.com. Not only do they have the (childhood nostalgic, Lon Chaney) Hunchback model I want, they also have a Charles Laughton version!!
I was so torn n this. As a kid, I built the Lon Chaney kit, but I never saw the Hunchback Lon Chaney movie. For me, the Charles Laughton Hunchback portrayal is what resonates with me. That’s the film I remember. So what to do.? What the heck!!! Why not get both!!! Problem solved!
Edited to add: For what it’s worth, I believe I’m wrong when I say that the original Aurora kit is the Lon Chaney version. Upon further research it looks to me that it’s a depiction of the Anthony Quinn portrayal in the 1956 movie.
Cheers,
Mark
When in doubt, buy both! “The Escape Hatch” makes a resin replacement head for that kit.
No picture of my stash but I am currently sitting on about 300 kits. Mostly aircraft with a few cars (I am currently working on a Mongram Indy car) and a couple armor kits.
Ok folks. Hope you’re sitting down….
I’ve been able to sit a my Sanctuary Desk for the first time in months. Here is my stash….
I also have 4 orders coming from oldmodelkits.com

Nomads, you need to rearrange your boxes. How else will you make space for more? ![]()
