I have that same Star Destroyer with fiber optics lighting kit in mine. Grabbed it in the 90’s along with the Enterprise D with the same lighting kit. It included a silly little battery powered drill for making the holes for the fiber optic strands
The Enterprise was built and lost to a move many years ago. The Star Destroyer has been waiting patiently for the last 30 years. I’d misplaced the fiber optic cable. Thanks to the magic of Amazon that has been addressed and perhaps some day in the not so distant future it’ll be built.

The Enterprise I bought in the 80’s thought I have purchased a ton of AM and PE parts for it.; and I just bought the Reliant too! The mind is whirling…. The initial meeting between the two of them or the Mutara Nebula???

All I can say is ‘thank you’ to all of you. Now I can show my wife that my stash is MINISCULE compared to these, so I can buy a lot more and still be NORMAL.

I’m closing in on 200 kits, all 1/48th scale, everything from a B-29 down to a Sopwith Camel. 98% are aircraft, and of those, 90% are WWII. I’ve added six new kits this week…

I have around 110 kits after selling the majority that I had. Figured there was no way I could ever complete 600+ kits.
I found that after I hit pretty much any topic of interest for me, I’ve found myself migrating to looking for AM stuff to add to the stash. Got a Tamiya Tomcat? Need AM decals and some PE. Got those Eduard overtrees? Definitely need AM stuff, there’s nothing else in the box. I think I’m slowly building up the kits that will annoy me to no end when I start and realize what I’ve done to myself…
I’ve been buying the Quinta studio cockpit details for almost everything I’m building lately.
Way too many! I’d make a "guesstimate"of 1,000+ kits that covers most of the modeling genres. I know that I’ll never be able to finish them all and that I NEED to start thinning the stash.
