@fjs3 Great work on your Zero. The chipping as @dadoffour points out is very well done, as it is possible to overdo that effect (to the point that someone saw a Jack I did like that and suggested it needed some paint).

I always try to keep weathering to a minimum, unless the aircraft was really that banged up. In the words of Shep Paine, “Less is best…” Weathering is easy to overdo. You can always add more if you think it’s necessary, because it’s a lot harder to fix once you’ve crossed that line.

Time for an update on the Raiden…
The eBay purchase arrived and I took time tonight to put the decals on and remove the masking from the canopy.
I still need to add the antenna wire and weather it. Will probably stick with light weathering.

Looks great. I think you are correct to go easy on the weathering as these aircraft did not serve outside the main islands as far as I know.

Ok, I’ve finished my little 1/48 Rikuo Type 97 motorcycle - Hasegawa kit. The standing figure is from Tamiya newer Zero fighter kit. It pretty much out of the box, except for the MV lense headlight, and the brake lines and small pipings added. And it helps if I post it in the correct Gb!
