Thanks Leon, Jay and Waikong,
Started the close up and you can still see some of it but at least I will know what is there. More to follow.

Howdy Guys…
Been seeing some great looking work here so far, that I wondered if I could join in the fun.
If thats okay I have a 1/72 Hasegawa ‘REX’ thats been sitting on the shelf for a few (years). [;)]
I usually do 1/48 aircraft so this will be interesting.
Hi Carlos,
[tup], Can’t wait to see your floatplane[;)].Have fun with it! [:D].
Post pix of your progress.
Bill

Hey Richard, nice work!!! Can’t wait to see more pix[8D].
Have Fun,
Bill
Carlos,
Super job on the Kate. Great camo job.
Richard
Howdy all.
I never got official confirmation that it was okay that I joined this GB…but I’m going to assume that I’m not barred for antisocial behavior and post some pics.
This is a Hasegawa 1/72 ‘Rex’ prototype.
Box has been on the shelf for years and represents the first 1/72 aircraft I’ve built. (usually do 1/48)
Pre-putty

Need replacement decals…these rotted on the shelf.[xx(]

The painted Kasei-14engine (used on prototype only)…and the reason I dont always paint inside the lines. [8-]

cj,
Looks like it is going together nicely.
Richard
Lookin’ good cj95. I’m sure Digger will have you on the list soon. and as for anit-social behaviour, I haven’t posted anything yet as my oscar is still in the box, I’ve got two builds to push through first before I start this one. We have until May 2006 so lotsa time! I’m think Nov before I get on this one…
good painting job on that engine, welcome to the build.
Finished the major assembling with a few fit problems. Repaired them with Squadron White putty and a coat of primer. Fix any other putty problem and off to the paint shop.

Richard
Wow Richard, That sucker is big! Looks good though. Can’t wait to see it finished…
Leon
Thanks Leon, it is rather large but fun to build.
For those interested, greatmodels.com have most of their 1/24 Thumpeter aircraft on sale for up to 50% off.
Richard
oooooooooooh does that bring the flanker under $100 lol
[:P][;)]
[BH] nope lol not that i have room for something that big anyway ROFL[:-,]
btw i was such a Dumb[censored](3 leter word for mule inserted here) today I got home with the paint for my Buffalo only to find i had grabbed DARK sea blue instead of the lighter color i need lol I bought the color you usually see Hellcats and such wearing DOH DOH DOH [banghead][banghead][banghead] why you ask am i taking this so hard??? my nearest hobby shop is over 35 miles away and I CAN’T DRIVE. ROFLMAO! ! !
why did i say today doh its 5:00 am arrrrgh its a new day and i’m waaaaaay overtired so dont mind my mild morning crazies my pillow is coming for me with a STRAITJACKET LOL[:D][|)][zzz]
Digger,
I’ve finally finished some other builds and am able to get going. Since there are already several of Zero’s, I’d like to switch to a Gekko type 11 Irving. Ther’s alot of interior detail on the Tamiya kit which appeals to me. The Zero is cool, but a little basic. Will post some pics when I have something to show.
Jerry
Its a long way from being done but I just removed all the masking after painting the upper half so here is where I am.

Richard
Nice paint job Richard, this ones definitely got potential.
Jerry
Thanks Jerry, here is some more. All I have left to do now is a little more detail, then decal and dullcoat. The canopy is just tacked on for the photos.
