The pit is ready to be closed up inside the fuselage along with the engine. I’ll see if the Honey-Do list will let me accomplish that today. The seatbelts are Eduard and the nice thing about them is they have belts for different planes listed by manufacturer and the set contains four different versions.

how come the paint coats on the Japanese and US Pacific theatre fighters, namely the F4U-d, have a satin to gloss finish but the german aircraft in the european theater gets the dull overcoat??

Ryan my guess would be due to the harsh condistion with the salt air in the Pacific.Digger

Beautifull work as always Richard, that’s a very good start. I just got back from vacation, and still have a couple of unfinished builds so nothing to report yet.

hi guys well today i got the cockpit,nosegear bay and the instrument pannel buttoned up in the fuselage and added the main wing assembely to my Shinden i’ll probably be in the same stage with my Raiden by saturday

i finally got ahold of my friend with the digital camera so i’ll be able to post some pics soon[party][yeah]

Started installing the sub-assemblies together and here is where I am. Have to do a little touch up here and there before closing up the pit. Too bad you lose so much detail when the two halves go together.

Looks good Richard. Hopefully a lot of it will be viewable once it is closed up.

My personal update. I purchased hasegawa 1/48 ki-84 and some decals for it. Now I am just trying to decide if I want to go with a colored pe set or just a regular pe set. Once that is decided and ordered, I will begin; I am excited as I have heard great things about the kit.
