Italeri's m8 greyhound finished *many painting SBS pics*

Egads Biffa! You’re killing me, as usual, with your outstanding work. [tup][tup]

Only took me this long to get to look at your build due to my crap internet connection…I thought the 37 pictures on this page were going to melt the lines I was using so much bandwith. Heh. [(-D]

Amazing how you can turn an average kit into something special. [bow]

Hey Biff! Great work on the hound. I hesitate to even ask this question because some modelers just “eyeball” it but, do you have any idea what the paint/thinner ratio is on the washes you applied? I’m about to submit my 1/35 hound to the airbrush and would like to follow your lead in finishing it off.

Thanks!

Nicely done Ron, as mentioned elsewhere, the tarp method is something I would never have thought of and going to have to give a whirl. [tup]

Once again, beautiful weathering, and the tarps look flawless. I just saw a conversion for the Tamiya kit to mount a quad .50 Maxon turret on it. Looked reeeaaal cool, bu not for $110. [:O]

Thanks Zoran, seeing yours finished really helped fire me up on this one it was nice seeing a well finished one during the build process to get the motivation up.

Thanks for taking the time Dupes infuture i wonder if posting the finished images in a new thread would help the cavemen still on dialup?? lol [:D] seriously though would it be better but then when people do full builds i kinda like to see the whole show from start to finish so, anyway thanks man. lol at Egads

Hi David sorry to say im one of the eyeballers too but i tend to prefere to mix my washes a little more on the thinner side and have to add several than try do the job in one, i like the built up look, also its safer if your not going for the worn out look that i like to do.

Thanks Bill its an old method for sure but still its cheap and easy and the results can definatly be better than some of the plastic kit supplied stuff, nearly all the italeri stuff was sunk badly in the center’s and unfixable.

Hi Ian i dont know for sure what the maxon setup is without going to check, which i obviously will right after this because im curious now heh but here’s a link to one that someone did using the old tamiya quad fifties from the old halftrack kit that looks quite interesting.

Thanks, Biffa. I’ve never used that many washes, but I like the graduated colors you used, and the subtle changes in hue they produced. I’m going to give it a shot and let the chips fall where they may. This project has been on the bench way too long.

beautifull work on the greyhound. Looking back the tire chains really stand out.
