Just started work on this B-17 and wanted to know if anybody had any issues building this model or tips you could share.
I’ve got some aftermarket “goodies” I’m adding and looking forward to this build
Thanks
@Dad looking forward to seeing your progress. Which aftermarket items are you adding to it?
I’m adding Legend B-17 crew plus a legend rear gunner
Edward fabric seatbelts ( which are a real pain to work with)
Quinta Studio pilot cockpit, radio operators compartment and navigator, bombardier, waist and tail gunners compartments
Edward Brassin B-17 guns
SBS model 3 D printed engine detail set
Edward Brassin wheels
Aber metal gun barrels
And Scale Aircraft Conversions metal landing gear-so far
Those are some nice adds. I have that model in 1:48 scale but so far I have only added masks because that’s a lot of glass. But I’m looking to add more goodies before I build it.
Wow, I just discovered that kit in the hobby shop last weekend. Until that, I had no idea they made a 1/32 version. That thing is going to be impressive. I’m really looking forward to seeing your progress. Post often please. I saw the Edward tires, they are like mini donuts!
Good luck with the build. I have been coveting this kit but can’t bring myself to buy it simply because I have too many projects on the go and too big a stash waiting for me. I already have to live to 143 to get everything finished. So I will live vicariously through you…please do post updates on your progress.
That thing is going to be huge! By my estimate, a wingspan well over 3 feet. I’d probably have trouble just trying to work on the landing gear in my work area. Can’t wait to see more!
