Dad

I just recently got back into modeling which I haven’t done since I was in my early teens.
I’m now 69 and really enjoying how much more the kits have progressed over the years.
Revell and Monogram were what I used to build and now I won’t even look at kits made by them.
I really enjoy the 35 scale military and 32 scale airplane models.
Tanks and planes mostly.
I do have some 48 scale but find them a little difficult to work on with the smaller parts.
I have built up my stash of over 150 tanks and military vehicles at 35 scale and about 125 planes at 32 scale with another 75 plus of 48 scale planes and military vehicles.
I’ve got to get my workbench completed and display area finished as I’ve got about 30 of these kits completed and no where to stage them right now.
I really enjoy seeing what everybody has been posting of ideas for work bench’s and display areas because they really helps me plan my project.
I recently acquired some very large 32 plane kits one being a B-17 and a B-24D Liberator.
I had a “JAWS” moment when I opened the B-24 kit
I’m gonna need a bigger work bench
I’m gonna need a bigger paint booth
I’m gonna need a MUCH bigger display area!
What was I thinking when I purchased those???
Can’t wait to start building them but I’ve got to get my workshop ready first.
I just hope I can still function long enough to build all those at my age.
Glad to be with all of you on my endeavors to get better at finishing with the help of all your great ideas.
Thanks to all for sharing and I look forward to posting pictures of my achievements for your advise.
Happy modeling
