Hey people- I need help finding a kit

Around 1994/95 back when I was in grade school Fujimi came out with an aircraft set that included their 1/48 F6F Hellcat and A6M Zero. I thought it was the coolest thing I’d seen, and wanted one for Christmas so bad. Never did get one though and now I thought if I could find one I’d buy myself a Christmas present! I know that the Hellcat isn’t the greatest but I enjoy fixing up old kits. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

have you tried Hobby Link Japan? They carry Fujimi kits and are probably a cheaper source than anyone here in the US.

It’s listed, but not in stock or on back order… Darn. Thanks for the link though and keep 'em coming!

http://www.hobbysurplus.com has the f6f on back order

You were in GRADE SCHOOL in 1995??? Man, that makes me feel OLD!!!

LOL I saw that too but didnt say anything…makes me feel OLD [B)]as Well and Im only 26![:I]

try www.cahood.com and navigate through their online catalouge

I was in grade school then too.

Hi Reb,

Back when I was in grade school, model airplanes came with the pilot figures/cockpit section, already molded into the fuselage. ie: Hawk kits… and every airplane model came with a complimentary display stand. [:)]

Oh yeah, the topic: Here’s some places you can look:

http://www.happyhobby.com/hobb_html/fujimi.htm… About 3/4ths down the page: Stock No. 6211035509
1/48 ZERO VS HELLCAT
29.98

Here’s a place out of Argentina that has the kit:

Also look here:

This “orda” be enough to keep you busy for a while… [;)]

Good luck!

Hey rebel99,
No info on the kit but I see you live in Moore. I am down here in Blanchard. Are you AD Air Force or DOD civilian?

Wroper

Hey thanks for all the links! I was in the sixth grade back then, and I’m 20 now. It’s funny- I found the happyhobby.com site later yesterday and am going to try to order it from them today, so we’ll see how that goes. I’m a civilian DOD employee out at Tinker AFB. I work in the sheetmetal backshop for the B-52. It’s an interesting aircraft to work on. Thanks for the help, and if you have any others please post them just in case happyhobby doesn’t work.

Aha!! [:D]

Reference source, reference source for the BUFF!

Rebel99,
My section supervisor in the ANG works 135s in the big hanger.

Hey Rebel99;
have you checked out EvilBay?, try them out you might get it cheaper then you think, I’ve gotten almost all of the Arii/Otaki Japanese fighters off of EvilBay,

No luck on e-bay with the combo. Is it a good way to buy models? I’m registered (as hellcatace1), but am a little reluctant to buy anything. Wroper- I guess it is a small world! I’m in Bldg. 2121 off of 59th St. and Douglas. I’ve never gotten to see the inside of 3001. Some day I want to go over there and take a look at the -135 line. Everybody else in my class says that it’s an impressive place to work at. I would love to be able to hook people up with reference photos of the B-52 but I don’t think I can. They just said we can’t have cameras out there, so I don’t know if I could even get special permission. Sucks I know. Means no reference pics even for my own use! I’ll keep you all posted on whether or not that one hobby shop can send my model. Later!

wow, I was in grade school back then too!! I couldn’t find anything on that model either.

I have a one up on the other young 'uns here… i was freshman highschool then! [:p]
Is this one of those 2-in-1 kits? I got one as a kid… 1/32 Israeli F-16 and an Iranian MiG-21… what could be better than getting 2 planes in the same box? sadly, i wasn’t introduced to paint then, and i screwed them up. i had fun with mock dogfights though… F-16 would always win. (saw iron eagle one too many times) [:)]

not too sure if that’s one up or one down [:D] cause I can one up that too, I was in freshman highschool 3 years ago. [;)] oh the joy’s of being young!! [:D][;)]

enjoy it while it lasts chris. college makes you old fast.

Thats too funny we have college kids trying to 1 up each other on age.
When you guys were in grade school i had already completed 2 tours in South-west Asia. But It is all relative cause when I was just being born Berny was doin his in South-east Asia.
