I’ve never built a ship because I’m mostly an airplane guy, and projects like this terrify me. But I’ve been following this one because the work is just impressive. The paint work alone is beautiful, especially all of that detail on the stern and the wood finishes. And when I look at all the rigging involved in something like this, I have a lot of respect for anyone willing to take it on. Looking forward to watching it come together.

This is just ridiculous, incredible and exhausting to look at all at the same time. 
The amount of detail and patience involved in this is amazing. I have to ask—do you have any idea how many hours you have into this project so far?

that is just so kind of you to say that , my friend , I have been on it for about 5 weeks , every day for about 5-6 hours a day . still got a long way to go though .
Just curious - where are you going to display this beast?
Reason I ask is because I’m running out of room in my Man Cave and have a couple of 1/350 starships I want to build, but don’t have any place to put them!
Wow, that’s a lot of hours! If I’m doing the math right, 5 weeks at 5–6 hours every day puts you somewhere around 175–210 hours already. That is some serious dedication!

not a lot to show today , made a railing for the top deck , yet to make a ladder , also added the chook pens .
added some burton pendants , to the main and fore masts .
finally got the barrels tied down
and I almost missed doing these little guys for the mizzen mast back stays

Really enjoying this build - so ornate. But dude, you need to include a glossary for us non-tall ship builders 
For sure and agree on all counts! I know nothing and probably will never attempt anything like this but it is really, really fun to watch.
alright guys here are some of them , you must realise , i am a widower , and my poor wife , would kill me if she saw what I done to the house , 
I have given a lot away m and accidently broken a few , but anyway here goes .
