Thanks. Will those dimensions work in 1/35 scale? I’ll probably just hit it all with gray and leave it there since I’ve seen Hawks with all gray floors and skid tape as well as black-tape-on-gray-floors.
Heres the deal for the floor as far as Ive ever seen. The floor gets masked off by the crewchief with regular old 3 inch masking tape and hes just eyeballing the interval. The walkway coumpound (anti skid) is black so he has a grey and black stripped floor. Eventually he’ll panit the floor and just paint the whole thing grey as he wont have the time or inclination to remask it. Some guys hate the stipes and paint it as soon as the anti skid dries. Theres no standard. We just got a bird back from 'stan and the whole cabin was spray painted black, walls and all. So there ya go, army aviation maintenance secrets. [:D] I have floor pics if you want I’ll post one.

I hate being busy at work but I guess it’s better than not having work.
WHEW Okay, I feel better now. I thought I was the only one running behind. Yeah, work and freelance projects (hard to turn down easy money) have been keeping me pretty busy lately too.
Bad news adrake2 - I heard back from amazon and that SEAL book with the old gray VelcroHawk pix is NLA. Guess I’m SOL.
Here we are again, since the majority of the Hawk-builders (including yours truely) have fallen behind on schedule, I have decided to make this an open end GB.
I know things could get chaotic like that, but I have seen it working on other GB’s (e.g. Prototypes and Paperplanes GB), so why not take a chance.
I guess this is the only way to prevent this GB of dying [:(], personally I like the Hawk too much for that.
Woo! sounds good to me. I picked up Italeri’s 1/48th MH-60G, so I’ll go with that. I’ll incorperate some Eduard and Cobra Co goodies and go with an overall Gunship gray paint scheme.

I can’t believe that I haven’t checked out the group build until now. I saw your post about plans for a t/r paddle tool. Can you e-mail them to me? We will be pretty busy when we get home and get our airplanes back. We may be doing the RESET on 2-3 of them ourselves. We also do all of our own phases, so anything that will make sec. 5 even quicker and easier will help us to improve our workflow.
