MA, I didn’t realise Testors had boxed this, I assume it is the Italeri kit. That’s a pretty nice build, as are most Italeri kits. Look forward to seeing it.
I will have another update tomorrow. Been having a bit of an issue with the decals, but now got it weathered and the final bits are being added.

Heck Bish I went and picked up the Hasegawa HE111Z on sale at Sprue Bros. for only $39 on sale. All I have is the Italeri H6.
We tend not to see that many Testors kits over here, especially in shops. I know Hannants has a small range of there kits.
Mikeym, that’s a damn good deal, I paid £53 for mine. I would make one suggestion and that’s to replace the decals, especially the crosses and swastika and if you can the code letters. They are really thick and just didn’t want to settle into the panel lines. I wish I had swapped mine out.
The Italeri kits are rather nice. I originally built their H-6 and Z kits but both of them were badly damaged. While I replaced the Z with the Hase kit, I got another Italeri H-6 to replace the one I had lost. They are defiantly good value for money even if they do lack some of the detail of the hase kits.
Actually you could say the Italeri kit packs in details that the Hasegawa lacks like crew members. Though if I use the Eduard sets for the Z I wouldn’t add the armored window covers from the exterior detail set those are too confusing. Oh my Z is the long range bomber variant with 6 1000kg bombs on it. And where do I find decals for the Z because I figure the code leters were the same for both fuselages?
Hey I know. For Bish’s next project he can do a ‘what if’ 111Z with 7x37mm anti tank guns hanging under it and decals for Rudel on the side. he he. John

O, you got the Z-2 variant, I have been tempted to get that, as well as another Z to do the Z-3.
Of course with a Z-2 you can use what ever marking options you like as it never existed. Microscale/Superscale used to do a range of German code sheets, but they are hard to get hold of. I know one company in the UK does them and they are really nice, with a range of colours and size’s as well as outline ones.

But I am pretty sure you can find similar in the US. What markings does the Z-2 kit come with.
MMMMMM, tempting. But I am sure it could carry more than 7. How about a couple of 88’s, now Rudel could do some real damage with those.

Well luckily you get 2 for the price of 1 with this build.
And I think I now have enough He 111 plastic to keep me going for a while. It was my birthday on sat and I used the money I got to get the Revell 32nd He 111H-6. My other half couldn’t understand why I wanted it when I already have an H-6 in 72nd. While I was explaining I got it out to show her the size difference.

Here you go Mustang, just for you. The undercarriage and outer engines are on and most of the weathering is done. I did have some drama’s with a couple of the decals after adding the flat coat. The right upper wing and one of the fuselage crosses both silvered a lot, so I painted over the centre of the crosses. One recommendation I would make is to try and use AM decals especially for the crosses, swastika’s and probably the tail code. The decals are rather thick.
This is probably the last update before its done. I only have a few bits to add, such as the window’s, upper gun position and so on, and a bit of work to do on the main undercarriage. But I still have a lot to do on the base, ground equipment and other bits for the dio.
