"GERMAN ARROWS" - OFFICIAL DO-335 GB

Man if I didn’t have another 190 to do I’d DEFINITELY be in here building! I’ve got a Tamiya two seater in the stash with just about everything thats made resin and PE wise for it. Hell I even have a little 1/48 BMW R75 motorcycle I bought to go with it at the time. Currently I don’t really know if the motorcycle was used around the Pfeil much though!

Bish, Wayne: It’s nice to have you guys in here! I put both of you on the list.

Joe: Do you want me to list you as undecided? It doesn’t matter if you can’t finish your build in time. The goal of ths GB is to have fun anyway!

Not right now Clemens ol buddy! I will be peeping in on this from time to time though.

No worries, mate!

Hi everyone,

Bit more progress. Have the majority of the kit rescribed, so I mocked it up real quick. [Y] Fit is pretty good! May have to do some cleanup at the wing roots, but nothing too major.

Looking good.

Nice work!

It seems like that Monogram kit has a better fit than most of the more recent kits…

Still collecting info and parts to do my build, I found a cool looking camo scheme I may try to do, but will likely be imaginative and will surely take many “artistic liberties” with this one, since so few actually made it into service. Thanks to Bish I was able to track down some pictures of the "blister’ dome for the radar/weapons operator. This will have to be scratch built being I can find no source for the 48th scale kits. Getting close to having all I need to begin, just need to finish my Eduards D-9 for the Butcher Bird GB. We cant all be Clemens and have 5 GBs and builds all going at the same time! (ha) Just kidding bud!

Maybe when I’m retired I will build a larger bench, and have a lazy susan fixture where I can just spin it from one build to the next!(LOL)

Take care my friends!

Doug

I wish my exhausts would come from my LHS! Would love to get the fuselage glued together. wait wait wait,[whstl] Oh wait I suppose i could start another Fw190!!! [:O] Just trying to keep up with Clemen’s!

John

I will be watching to see what you come up with for that dome. I have an Me 264 I want to add a couple of domes to and no idea how. Was thinking about vac u forming, but that seems a lot to go through for a kit or two. And I know the feeling. I am really have to make sure I build in the right order to get all my GB’s done in time. I have lost count of how many I am in, let alone running.

Clemens,

You can count me in!! Will be building the Tamiya 1/48 335 a. Just got on evil bay for a not to bad price.

Hi Clemens,

I’ve bought a Hobby Boss 1/72 Do 335A, so I don’t have to go through the pain of building the old Dragon one. Could you change my entry please.

Thanks

Tony

Matt: I put ya on the list.

Tony: Entry changed!

Doug: I guess I’m kinda special… [;)]

John: You can’t keep up with me! As soon as you start another 190, I’ll order 2 Fw-190F-8s!!! [6]

Clemen’s you are so evil!

I do have a friend at the IPMS Nationals right now, maybe I can tell him to find me a deal on multiple 190’s! Muhahahahaha![^o)] I’ll quit my job! lock myself in the basement! I can do it! oh wait no i can’t, no one will feed me[*-)] not even the dog.

you win. [:D[ I bow to the greater force of 190’s

John

Just kidding! I won’t order me any 190s untill all 5 in my stash are built…

I don’t believe you![:O] lol I was planning on having my friend look for some when he left a few days ago. I seem to have acquired some form of addition to FW190’s. maybe it’s the unused decals I’ve got in the stash, or maybe it’s the fact that I need to prefect my mottling, have to get that right.[:@]

John

or maybe the piles on my bench aren’t high enough.

I should get some updated photo’s of the current 190A-8 I’m doing this weekend, trying to finish up the decals.

After building my ONE Eduard A-8 I find that you guys are gluttons for punishment!! lol[:D]

I’ve only built the Tamiya and the Dragon 190’s. I do have a eduard in the stash but it really scares me, I’ve opened it a couple of times and put it back, I’m not ready for the Eduard yet.

John

They aint too awful bad but you just have to pay attention to the instructions. The hard work put into those kits DEFINITETLY yields good reults!!

I loved my WW1 Albatros from eduard, I went and got three others to build while I was in the middle of that build cuz i liked it so much. There’s just alot more little parts in the Eduard 190 than in either the Dragon or the Tamiya that want to jump into my carpet. [:O]
