OK GUYS, the GB has been posted in the GB forums since we have 10 people participating!!!

Revell Monogram GB

I know this is not the best forum to post this in but bear with me.

I just got an RM 1/72 SR-71 for XMas and I am up for the challenge of tackling it. does anybody else wanna try and wrestle with their RM models?

If I have enough ppl willing to join, then it might turn into a GB

Start date: Possibly 1-1-07

End date: 1-1-08 (since only God knows what these kits hold in store for us, we might need to take a break from it once in a while, so a year should be plenty) if the start gets delayed, I will change the end date accordingly so that we have 365 and 1/4 of a day for the build

anything goes (OOTB, heaps of AM, you choose)

cross overs from other GBs allowed

I got one several years ago and built it, and it one of the few that has yet received no damage.

This is one of those you can build from start to finish on a single rainey day.

I have yet to get to the level of expertise where I can make a single critical comment about it.

I only wish that they would have included a “Habu” decal marking in this kit.

My favorite feature about this kit is that it is molded in the correct color, or close enough for me. [;)]

I got the same kit for X-mas with the drone if you can get more i;ll join in.

I plan on rescribing this thing, mounting it on a base with the drone on the cart… the whole shabang.

See if you cant get a few more at least 10 people and then we need a GB Badge.

Edit We need a start date and end date and is it OOTB or anything goes.

I didnt notice that. So heres a diffrent one its a little big i can resize it but its a start.

I’ll join. I think the badge should have the GB on the bottom so instead of reading it like…

“Group Build Revell Monogram” It’d be like " Revell Monogram Group Build." Just my 2cents

I picked that kit up recently too, I got it to go with the Bell X-1 I did a few weeks ago. If its really as quick a build as the other poster said, I’d be in for a GB.

I’m in Jin. I have so many RM kits my brain hurts. Have to wait until the in my stash GB picks so i know which RM kit to do. Probably either the 1/48th F-18 BLue Angels or F-16C

well, the truth is that it can be as short as you want it to be [:)]

assembling and painting of the SR-71 doesnt look too complex, and like T-Terrifc mentioned above, it could be completed in a day, but I’m going to go ahead and rescribe mine and do all that stuff, so mine’s gonna take a while.

Sign me up, I have too many Revell kits in my stash. I am about 85% done with the 1/48 F-15E right now but never fear I have several to choose from.

One question though - Does Revell of Germany count? If so count me in with the 1/72 Su-27 Flanker B!

I’ve got a RM A-10 sitting on the shelf. It looks ok in the box, so I might not vomit all over it while I’m building it. I dare say I shall partake in this endeavor.
